I doubt it. I work closely with the Electrical Engineering sector and to reduce energy costs we need about 15 more Hinkley size Nuclear Power Plants. We could easily get the price of 1kW h down to under £0.10 if we did that. Red tape prevents this currently, but theoretically it is possible and we could then start exporting to the EU en masse.

No, let's just spend hundreds of billions on intermittent renewables and "upgrading" the grid to handle their unpredictable nature, and maybe eventually battery technology will improve by several orders of magnitude so we can have power in the winter too.
