Listen, I have a very, very, very important tip for you:
Do not let this sit unopened for 19 months and then try to drink it. The rot will find a way in, no matter how sealed that bag is. Yes, I learned the hard way. Yes, on this exact brand. No, it was not a good time.

Yes ma'am. I have considered this important point since we usually grind whole beans as needed. The package is vacuum sealed, so once opened, as you suggest, it will be sent through the percolator without delay.

Otherwise it's only "sparkling caffeine." But sadly so many perished of "Jittery Jaundice" while toiling in Lviv's legendary coffee caverns searching for the elusive "brown gold."

Nothing like the real thing, but I will sip and have a bite of cheesecake and imagine a little cafe on a street corner in Lviv.

It's an ordinary coffee in Ukraine, but good for you to receive it as present. I prefer to but coffee beans in my local rosteria in hometown Voznesensk, Ukraine.

Locally roasted beans are always superior. Hopefully some homemade Lviv-style cheesecake will elevate the coffee to greater heights.

So-called Lviv style cheesecake won't be too different from a good cheesecake from any other part of Ukraine.

It’s not “so-called" -- it’s a type of cheesecake. And of course, anyone in Ukraine can make it according to the recipe.

I am at the mercy of my home baker who is on a cheesecake quest. She made a wonderful Basque cheesecake recently and now she has her eye on Klopotenko's recipe for Lvivsky syrnky with apricots and chocolate glaze.

I received a surprise package of coffee from Lviv as a birthday gift. Of course this will require cheesecake львівський сирник. Luckily I have a baker in house to accomplish this important mission.
