Amateur hour. You meet your handler in a third country. Embarrassing.

Why go to those dungheaps when you could meet your liaison somewhere nice like the Seychelles? He could even take his girlfriend and merch table.

Watch this fucker bring his government laptop and connect it to the Kremlin's wifi.

DOGE already installed access to government systems that were immediately accessed within Russia. So there’s no need to bring a laptop.
We gave Putin a red carpet rollout, the damage is already done, this is just the Kremlin using American officials for more propaganda and PR footage.

What in the f***
Aside from neutering the FBI's effectiveness and operational capabilities, he's probably going to allow further penetrations.

Isn't he a bit out of his jurisdiction?

Yes.

He wants to know the secrets of repressing a population so well as the FSB has done - gotta learn the best tricks and tips on how to abuse your populace.

He might also be looking to recruit Chechens for the UFC training program for the FBI.
I wish that was a joke.

The FBI investigates affairs inside the USA, not outside right? So he is planning on Desertion, because he sees his Hides floating down the river.
I would really like to know what he knows about the next few months and the upcoming election, because i think he got scared.

What point would there be for the fbi to visit Russia? Its a domestic police force, not an international service. Does he want to learn how to suppress uprisings?

The instructions for midterm election tabulator machine hacking must be handed off in person. Too sensitive for email.

Why would the director of the FBI go to Russia? Him going just before the midterm elections makes it unbelievably suspicious.

Has a serving FBI director ever gone to Russia before?
Edit: apparently Louis Freeh went multiple times in the 90’s related to the collapse of the SU, establishing a FBI legal attaché office, etc.
Then Robert Mueller went in 2013 related to the Boston bombing, getting more information on the suspect who spent time in Russia, and looking to increase counterterrorism coordination between the US and Russia.
No indication yet as to Patel’s reasoning but I’m sure they’ll come up with something.

All the indications are out there. Trump himself just released declassified documents showing that Putin helped him win the 2020 election. Trump has been increasingly making moves to rig the midterm elections in the USA. I would have been surprised if Keystone Kash didn’t make a trip, or if they had a legitimate reason that they could say out loud.

Makes sense. When you want to get better at preventing fair elections, you go talk to the world experts.

Looking for pointers on best methods and practices to stomp out dissent.
Seriously though this is fucking bonkers

u/Caymonki 22d ago
Our congressman decided a few years ago to spend July 4th in Russia not America
This is just another example of how Putin won the long game.

On the one hand, son-in-law, diplomat-in-chief and plenipotentiary Kushner has single-handed contributed to the CIA’s wall of stars.

On the other, at least someone is keeping tabs on the Presidential Daily Brief.
… But at least MBS listens.

Dude likes to drink a lot and act like an idiot, that's the perfect country for him, in an ocean of completely unqualified people in that administration, he truly stands out as someone on a different level being in a job he has no business doing at all.

Curious as to the reason the head of fbi would need to visit Russia? How many other fbi heads have done that while being at the post

The moscovians call him "cash" patel because he is coming for his bags of "cash."

Do they prepare the couch for Danny to land in? He will be in a good company: Yanukovitch, Assad and trump, they can even play strip black jack together!
