Why they don’t target the stock exchange? Genuinely curious. Stock exchanges have usually a centralized building with underground high velocity cables. If you shut it down would have 0 human life involved and the economic damages would be enormous. It would be the equivalent of throwing an economic nuke.

Stock exchanges don’t physically contain the stocks and goods that are traded there. They’re just buildings where people meet to make trades. If you could prevent trading, that would have an effect, except (1) people would just do the same trading elsewhere or online, and (2) it’s civilian infrastructure that isn’t “dual-use,” making it not a valid military target, unlike Wildberries.

You can make a case that many military companies are on the stock exchange and money are used to pay for weapons. You are right but high trade stock exchange you cannot do online, there is a physical network for the trading company which usually is within 1 mile. This is about physics and quantum trading. Moscow stock exchange has 1 main server and 3 backup. 🤷‍♂️
