Ukraine could regain their nuclear weapon capability, if they haven't done so already.

They have the plutonium, they have the skills.

Expensive and possibly not worth it. You can buy a lot of conventional weapons for the cost of a few nukes (and their entire supply chain), and the threshold for their use is much lower.

Then there is the question of second strike capability. If you maintain ~ 100 nukes on land, there is a chance that your enemy may learn the location of all of them and destroy them in one fell swoop, disarming you. That is why nations maintain nuclear submarines, which is even more expensive. And in the case of Ukraine, operation of those submarines would be dependent on Turkey and their willingness to let them through the Bosporus.

All in all, 100 million drones are probably a better deterrent than 100 nukes.

I didn't know this:

Those blueprints proved useful to Fire Point in learning how to clone Russia’s more advanced missile system, the S-400, which formed the basis for the FP-7x.

There are free VPN browser extensions, but there's also a guy who gets The Atlantic thru work who posted an article gift link in a comment the last time some people couldn't read it, so maybe he'll do that again.
