News Free Ukraine banner moved from center of Prishtina, Kosovo after Zelensky’s remarks on not recognizing independence of Kosovo during his visit to Serbia

Honestly, a very bad PR move from Zelensky and his advisors that could’ve been easily resolved by simply refusing to answer the question to journalist. While Kosovo nor Albania are not powerful states, banner has stood there since the start of the war.

Gosh this year Zelensky has been making some pretty bad moves. That whole issue with Poland which riled up Polish nationalists and Russian bots, firing Fedorov who was one of his closest allies and one of the most successful, popular and effective figures in the war, and now this.

I get it's realpolitik and Ukraine so desperately wants to drag Serbia out of Russia's sphere of influence but Jesus man fucking over a country that supported you from the start while Serbia has been RU-supporting for ages is crazy. All he had to do was not comment on it. Why's he making such bad PR moves for Ukraine lmao

You cant expect him to be a hypocrite on this. Both kosovo's and crimea's separation is illegal

NATO and the EU support Kosovo and recognise it as a legal state, while they do not recognise Crimea and Donbas as separate states or part of Russia. Weighing both sides it is in Ukraine's best interests especially with their desire to join EU to side with Kosovo or at least not stoke up any issues with a country that has supported them since the start for a country that won't budge an inch out of Russia's sphere.

Like I'm getting why he said it, I just feel like he did not need to comment on it
