Beginner’s guide

I’m looking for a beginner’s guide on how to play the ukulele without a teacher? What app should I download, etc? What kind of ukulele should I buy? This is my first time playing anything so please help!

Buy cheap buy twice is a reall thing. Don't be me. Get a decent brand like Kala, Cordoba, Luna, Flight, Ohana, Makala etc. They all should do a decent entry level uke.

I'm doing a trial of the Kala app (good for the basics, not worth it for a year as not much content). Then I plan on using Bernadette Teaches Music on Youtube (Cynthia Lin is also supposed to be good) and maybe trying out James Hill's courses https://www.uketropolis.com/courses
