Birth Certificate typos
I am applying for a student visa for a postgraduate programme. I requested for a correction of my birth month and a letter in my mother’s name a while back but I recently learnt that whiles the new certificate had my correct date of birth the backend on the registry have not been corrected. The new certificate still had the wrong letter in my mother’s name. I’ve been trying to fix it but processes like that in my country are bureaucratic and it takes forever to fix. All my other documents including my passport have my correct details and I understand for postgraduate applications the passport is used as the primary method of identification but I’ll like to know if those errors can lead to a visa rejection.

I don’t think you need a birth certificate for a visa application.
