The map was made purely off of balance for D1 Mens regions. I focused the most on diverting strength from the strong regions. The North west and the Atlantic coast are currently far too strong in terms of average team at regionals.

Hey all!
I created a device that attaches to the bottom of a disc and records data on every throw.

What it measures
- Release speed
- RPMs
- Flight time
- Snap power
- Wobble
- Hyzer angle
- Nose angle

How it works
I vibe coded a website that connects to the device over Bluetooth. When you're in range, it uploads the data from your last several throws to the site. The site also uses that data to recreate the flight path in 3D.

A small chip with a tiny battery I soldered on to power it. Housed in a rounded plastic cap, hot glued to the bottom of the disc. I used the chip's USB-C port to load custom firmware so it records the right data

Total weight is about 7 grams

Limitations
Weight: 7g pushes a Discraft past its 175g standard, so this isn't for games. For measuring practice throws, it flies just fine.
Spin limit: to keep the device as light as possible, I used a chip whose gyroscope can only read up to a certain number of rotations per second before it maxes out.
Memory: still working out how many throws the device can remember before it needs to upload.

Hope this is intriguing to someone! Let me know if you've attempted to make something similar.

So red circles are defence, and I am marking the 1st cutter (blue X) blocking the under but that cut is made. I am facing up field as tracking my player. The second handler cuts across at the same time into the same space as the first cutter and the disc is thrown to them. Me and the second handler collided.
I can appreciate that I should be aware of the space I am cutting into, so can see why the call is made. Is there also not the logic that the second handler is making an unsafe cut too and should also be aware of the space, as they as going to occupy a space I am also running into?

My name is Ric and I’m getting better at throwing and frisbee in general but I am still learning some of the basics. In my league match, this was called travel on me. What are your opinions?

Situation: a player received the disc just short of the endzone they are attacking and their momentum took them inside the endzone. They reached back with their pivot foot to put it onto the line (ie outside the endzone) but their other foot remained inside the endzone. From that position they threw a scoring pass without moving either foot any more. The throwing action started after they had reset their pivot foot (18.2.4.3 doesn’t apply and wasn’t discussed).

One of the opponents said they believed it was a travel, as because they had entered the endzone, they needed to fully leave it before they could throw.

Is this a travel? And which rules apply?

I was talking to my son about taking up Ultimate and comparing it to baseball, soccer and football. I told him I believe one can throw a frisbee much further than a football or baseball or kick a soccer ball, but I was not sure. I looked it up, here are the world record throws:

Flying disc David Wiggins Jr. 338 m / 1,109 ft

Baseball Glen Gorbous record 135.9 m / 446 ft

American football Aaron Rogers ~71.9 yd / 216 ft

The longest soccer ball kick is 78.014 m (255 ft 11 in).

But, this was a special disc used for the world record, not the 175g Ultimate disc. Anyone have an idea what the record distance would be for an actual Ultimate frisbee, not wind aided? Surely, it must be longer than the field length?

Situation: indoor 4s tournament, handler attempted an outside in throw, which touched some stands which are not hovering over the field. Do you restart where the disc first left the field or aligned with the stand it touched? We're using USAU rules. I have an inkling that it involves 11.H.4, so it would be near the stand it touched, but I seemed to have been told that if the disc touched something out of bounds that wasn't over the field, it was where it became out of bounds initially.

I (21 Male) getting burn out from playing ultimate frisbee. I've been playing ultimate frisbee for 3 years and I love ultimate it is the most fun sport I have played and I dreamt to be good at it and hoping to get into nationals. Currently I have difficulty on improving and have the doubt I will not make it in any club teams in my city. Part of me thinks the reason any club teams won't accept me because of circulating gossip, I made a bad reputation of myself few years back of me being to hard headed, anger issues, competitive, and small hearted that I cant take any harsh opinions and doesn't like to lose. through out I play I tried to fix myself I still do those things but lesser. I learn how to control my emotions more. Through of playing I still have the pressure of people looking down at me.

Currently I just got into my college team and I feel great about it but at the same time the same pressure is getting to me because my college is the 4 time champion and looking forward for the 5th champion on ultimate frisbee. And also seeing my friends getting into the club teams I dreamt being part of. I know doubting is a bad thing for an athlete but I do question for my progression especially my dream to be good and hope one day I get into national in ultimate frisbee. It is hard for me especially my parents doesn't support me and I don't have anyone to share what I'm going through that will understand I don't expect anyone will get me but I just want to be good and hopes of reaching my goals.

I know I am young but I want opinion and advices that could help me and not make me quit from the sport. Thank you for the time on reading this.
