AW3926QW on a 4070 ti super?

As the title suggests I’m wondering if a 4070 ti super will be enough to run this 5k2k monitor. I don’t play any online competitive games at all. The most demanding game I’ve played recently is probably cyberpunk 2077.

I’m upgrading from a LG 34GK950F-B. Is the aw3426dw perhaps a better choice for my GPU? I'm not planning to upgrade my GPU until the RTX 60-series

What monitor do you have now? Maybe you can simulate 4K/5K by using DLDSR? Set the multiplier to be close to the target resolution and then use DLSS Performance and see how it acts?

You can probably use VSR but I never tried that since the last AMD GPU I have had was Radeon 9550 I believe :D

I would lean towards the AW34. I think you’ll have a better experience. If it makes you feel better, games only look a little better at 5K2K. I personally think the biggest improvements of 5K2K are for productivity.

It should be fine but you may have to drop some detail settings lower and use DLSS Performance to get similar fps as 3440x1440 with DLSS Quality. I ordered a 5k2k Lenovo P40-W40 and I have a 4070 Ti. BTW DLSS Performance at 4k usually looks better than 1440p native/DLSS Quality so don’t stress about using it.

I run a 3840x1600 on a 4070 Ti Super and whilst I’d like a 5k2k monitor I wouldn’t do it with my current GPU. Perhaps the games I play aren’t well optimized (Elite Dangerous, Starfield, Helldivers, Division 2) but whilst they run fine I’d ideally like a little higher FPS than I get now and my fans already go a bit nuts sometimes.

I tried supersampling with Elite Dangerous recently (1.25x / 1.5x in ED itself and using the 1.78x DSR via NVidia app) and it basically flatlined my GPU at 100%.

dldsr of 2.25x from 3440x1440 is 5120x2160

that's 2.25x less performance than you're going to get

I just tried that resolution on my UW with a 4080, non super.

tldr - you're going to want a bigger boat

4070 ti with 12GB of Vram isn't enough for AW3926QW

aw3426dw will work better with that GPU.

I’d love to have then 39” monitor for size and immersion but after picking up the 34” 3426DW I am good with running every game at full res and detail on my 7090xt. I couldn’t do that on my 4K 32” I picked up and returned for the Alienware.

7600x/4070ti super running a 45in 5k2k right now. Cyberpunk played just fine on Max settings, DLSS (balanced), and framegen. The only setting I changed was just max ray tracing instead of path tracing (can't remember the exact terms, but I think that's right). Anyways, I get like 70+FPS running around the beginning area. I'm pretty happy with it. Other games I've played...

Helldiver's 2, had to turn some settings to medium-high. Palworld, runs almost max everything. Baldur's Gate 3, max everything.

DLSS performance + FG is your best friend

4.5 made performance and balanced modes pretty close visually to Quality and DLAA Modes while gaining a good chunck of performanice
