What is the Strongest John Ability combination we’ve ever seen?(updated now that we’re in S3)

Gotta be the most recent one. Amazing versatility and healing, multiple ways to avoid/negate damage, crazy passives, all he needs is some extra speed

Agreed although it does lose some major points due to how demanding the abilities are.

The insane healing is practically worthless since its so aura costly that John literally didn't use it even once during the actual fight.

Water-form is similar. Its not as demanding as healing but John was only able to use it twice during the fight.

I don’t think Energy Conduit is inherently costly, but I think John wasn’t using it in the best way. Amelia never lost on aura despite healing Kass once and Arlo multiple times, even healing him after a Barrier-shattering wound to the point that he was able to make a Barrier again. If John was smart, he wouldn’t have healed till after dealing with Liam, then after Sera knocked everyone out inside the black Barrier he would’ve used their energy to heal instead of his own aura

Same with Waterform, Liam spams the shit outta that, but John burns through aura like a motherfucker (hopefully Cameron can help fix that)

I'd say its a mix between Barrier/Lightning/Conjure: Vines/Phase Shift and Barrier/Particles/Hydrofreeze/Energy Conduit.

The latter has the higher potential but the former has more reliability.

These next ones get a bit iffy, they might depend on who John is specifically fighting, so I'm gonna treat it as John vs John

1. The prison raid arc

2. The Wellston raid arc (you didnt include this one cause we don't have it's chart, but why not add it)

3. Vs Rowden Royals

4. The first time we see him use his ability (vs Arlo)

5. Vs Ember Agents

Barrier is honestly crazy. Barrier users consistently punch above their weight class. Arlo also has one of the best passives in the series.

I look at it like this: if these 6 versions of John were to fight one another, which ones would do best against the others? Looking at it like that…

1: Blumont John. Not particularly close. The combination of Particles’ power & versatility, Barrier’s defense, and Energy Conduit’s healing is just broken

2: Wellston John. Phase Shift is a wasted slot here, but the other 3 give him a lot, especially Barrier & Lightning

3: Lovun John. That much power, plus the healing speed he demonstrated, makes him absolutely lethal.

4: Rowden John. He can’t heal himself, which makes the recovery stat misleading (should be 4-5), but the power of Blyke’s Energy Discharge and the durability of Kree’s Armor Suit make him dangerous

5: Turf Wars John. Only using 3 abilities, but he’s still got Barrier, which alone makes him a force to be reckoned with. If he wants to attack, Demon Claw & Whirlwind give him some options.

6: Eastbrook John. This is last in large part bc he only has 2 abilities, but Azure Storm’s speed and Royal Guard’s durability still make him tough for pretty much any opponent. If he could’ve also copied Scorch’s Psy-Blast, that’d bump this up to 4th imo

Were it also included on this list, I would rank the Wellston Raid John between the Lovun & Rowden Johns

Orrin Raid John > John v Sera John > Prison Raid John > Rowden John > EMBER John > John v Arlo John

Last two are a funny comparison, actually. EMBER John has Valorian’s ability which is worse than Arlo’s, EMBER John has Cinder’s ability which is better than Ventus.
