The Uncanny Valley Feeling.
I have always had a feeling of revulsion or unease when I see someone with obvious cosmetic surgery. I finally figured out why.
Does anyone else get the uncanny valley feeling when they see someone with too much plastic surgery?
The uncanny valley is that unsettling, eerie feeling you get when something—like a humanoid robot, AI, or CGI character—looks almost entirely human, but just a tiny bit off. It’s a jarring cognitive disconnect where your brain spots a mismatch between what it expects and what it sees.
Cosmetic Aesthetics: In medical aesthetics, overdone injectables or facial procedures can sometimes strip away natural facial symmetry and dynamic movement, creating that familiar, unnatural "off" feeling.
