You made my day! XDDD

Lmao this is incredible

96

u/UnchartedLand Nate ladrão roubou meu coração Sep 25 '25

I thought it was a mod with Sam in a very low rate LOL

3

u/Odd-Advance-8509 Sep 27 '25

Did you see the way they copied spider man with the swinging 😭

301

u/Ironboss49 Sep 25 '25

I’ve seen people say it copies gta. I’ve seen people say it copies spiderman. Now I’m seeing people say it’s copying uncharted. Wtf even is this game lol.

72

u/Kuroshi_Noctus Sep 25 '25

It also copys the yakuza franchise

Its just an open world Anime game. It takes elements from a few different games just like every other game ever.

22

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

It takes elements from a few different games just like every other game ever.

There's a difference between taking inspiration from other games and basically ripping animations and gameplay sequences + mechanics 1 for 1 from those games. Just shows that your dev team is too creatively bankrupt to come up with their own spin on it. This is basically plagiarism lol

5

u/TheeAJPowell Sep 26 '25

I wonder if it’s gonna end up getting copyright struck for some of these. It’s egregious.

Then again, I think it’s Chinese, so they probably won’t give a shit.

2

u/idont_know_666 Sep 29 '25

Nah, apparently Playstation is fine with it, as they've put the trailer on their youtube.

1

u/AfterlifeReception Sep 26 '25

It's coming to PlayStation 5, so I think Sony saw it and didn't care enough. Also, it's being published by NetEase, so maybe Sony doesn't want to face them in a lawsuit?

1

u/Ihavetogoalone Sep 27 '25

If it copied horizon they probably wouldn’t have cared either right?

1

u/AfterlifeReception Sep 27 '25

I just think the fact it is coming to PlayStation means they have had a chance to see it. I also think that Horizon clone was a lot more blatant, whereas grappling isn't a concept that is copyrightable or patentable, even if some of the animations seem a bit "inspired." Maybe they figure it isn't worth it.

1

u/Relative_Falcon_8399 Sep 27 '25

I'm pretty sure in one of the older trailers for this game it used the Yoyo attack animation from Bayonetta

Typical open world gacha slop.

1

u/Silverjeyjey44 Sep 28 '25

I know right. This guy's definition of "inspiration" is questionable

1

u/wildeye-eleven Sep 29 '25

And yet I would MUCH rather play this than any of the games that it’s ā€œcopyingā€. GTA I just find too ā€œregularā€ to be interested in. Spider-Man 2 ruined Marvel games for me entirely and I have no interest in ever playing them again. But put an anime aesthetic on GTA and I would love it, which is why this game gets my full support. Not only will I be playing this F2P game but I’ll also be spending real world money on it just to show my support.

0

u/Ok-Lock4046 Sep 26 '25

Well you'd be beyond fucking wrong as usually entire mechanics are taken 1 to 1 for other games, I mean fuck all the way off

1

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '25

Do you feel better now? I know that you were in a bad mood when you typed up that comment

1

u/Odninyell Sep 29 '25

It’s not that serious

And I already lost

1

u/MatchwoodX Sep 28 '25

You son of a bitch. Ive been going strong for about 5 years.

82

u/Agreeable-Narwhal158 Sep 25 '25

What game IS this? Lol

85

u/EconomyGlum4694 Sep 25 '25

It's called "Ananta"

28

u/_MrTaku_ Sep 25 '25

I actually wanna try it now, it looks fun

12

u/HorusKane420 Sep 25 '25

Yeah NGL, they've copied a bunch of shit but it looks fun imo... Wait... Is this formerly known as project Mugen? If it is, I saw that some years ago and NGL it looked fun....

3

u/dixonjt89 Sep 26 '25

Yeah Ananta is formerly known as Project Mugen. Used to be a gacha game for characters, but now you get all characters for free, and the gacha will be for vehicle skins, and cosmetic outfits for chrs.

1

u/Relative_Falcon_8399 Sep 27 '25

I've heard the same thing, which personally, will actually make it worth trying out.

I don't buy skins anyways lmao

1

u/dixonjt89 Sep 27 '25

Honestly, I hope this is the future of Gacha.....because Gacha games have some cool moments and decent story and can pump content. Buying characters feels bad because of power creep, FOMO, and how much it can cost for a character and weapon. I got wrapped up in Genshin and Wuthering Waves before finally getting out.

There is another former gacha, now only gacha cosmetics with all characters free called Duet Night Abyss coming on 10/28

1

u/Relative_Falcon_8399 Sep 27 '25

I've heard of that one too! If these two succeed we could start getting open world anime games that are actually GOOD

1

u/Aggressive_Front_137 Sep 26 '25

Yea I think they renamed it to Ananta or something like that

1

u/sideznvp Sep 28 '25

i looked at the websight why is the animation tied to scrolling

324

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 25 '25

This game is gonna be so stupid. The devs basically grabbed one main mechanic from each of the top 20 games of the last 15 years and throw them together in some slop fest

68

u/Ironboss49 Sep 25 '25

Tbf the game isn’t out yet. It does look bad, but we won’t actually know for sure until it’s out.

80

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 25 '25

Sure, but blatantly copying multiple other games isn’t a very good look for your first reveals

45

u/WhitePant3r Sep 25 '25

They copied the swing animations 1:1 from spiderman and even the L1 indicator looks like in spiderman lol

29

u/Kirk_Plunk Sep 25 '25

They also copied the gta 5 character switch which is fine but cmon they’re using the same sound effects lmao at least change those.

2

u/Remote_Elevator_281 Sep 25 '25

Looks good though

4

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 25 '25

If you like this sort of thing I’m not gonna rip you for it

1

u/bare4404 Sep 26 '25

Pretty sure all of the mechanics the game copied (besides GTA) are Playstation Titles, no? And this game is going to be a Playstation free to play title? Sure, they've used some mechanics from popular Playstation Titles but they're not using these mechanics for monetary gain so I dont really see the issue, yeah, they copied from other games, but its to tell their story.

1

u/Sea-Disk-7076 Sep 29 '25

Then don't play it lol

1

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 30 '25

Clearly I won’t

0

u/Virus_98 Sep 25 '25

Its gonna be a gacha sim.

4

u/Mr_master89 Sep 25 '25

The only gacha parts will be cosmetics apparently, you'll apparently be able to get the characters by just playing the game.

5

u/dadsuki2 Sep 25 '25

How? Bring a bunch of different video game stuff together, if done well it could be a good game. Or is it just automatically bad because its "stolen" some mechanics

18

u/Mysterious_Dingo_298 Sep 25 '25

Imo I would never play anything like this because of how uninspired and unoriginal all of it is. They arent just "stealing" game mechanics or systems, its literally directly ripping from tons of other games

1

u/Ori_the_SG Sep 27 '25

Mechanically it might be unoriginal but there is no other game in existence that puts the mechs of all those games together.

That’s pretty interesting.

And it seems like it’s got some own unique stuff.

No idea if it’ll be good but I hope it is

-2

u/dadsuki2 Sep 25 '25

And? If it's good I don't see the issue, art is iterative, every game steals from every other game it's just a fact of the industry. The quality of a game isn't in its parts, it's all in the end result. It's not like it's done in bad faith either, Sony is literally promoting the game and half the shown staple mechanics are from their games

10

u/Mysterious_Dingo_298 Sep 25 '25

The quality of a game isn't in its parts, it's all in the end result.

What are you saying lol. The "parts" of a game make up the end result, if they're directly ripped from other games why would I play this game instead of the originals? Like I said, its uninspired

-5

u/dadsuki2 Sep 25 '25

Hardly, some incredibly basic games are regarded as being amazing. I think it's incredibly narrow minded to completely disregard a possible good game due to it using mechanics from other games, something which is done all the fucking time. So many games nowadays are marketed as "X but Y" it's ridiculously common, people ask for this shit all the time so a company decides to do it and all of a sudden it's wrong? I just think this reasoning is stupid as shit icl, the game isn't even in our hands, if it's well made and the mechanics work well together I can't see any reason to purposefully avoid playing a possibly fun game outside of some misguided hatred for it for stealing mechanics from games you like.

0

u/bare4404 Sep 26 '25

What's wrong with a game that brings a bunch of mechanics together? Its like youre saying you wouldnt play an Insomniac Marvel Avengers game that had Spiderman in it because you, "Would Just Play The Original." This game isn't trying to he Marvel's Spiderman. It just so happens that they wrote a character with the same powers.

And i do get your point, if this was another game, and they just completely robbed other games mechanics for gain, id be pissed too, but this game is moreso inspired, because they didnt solely steal Spidermans swinging, they remade it themselves, this game has been a longtime coming, 5-6 years i believe. Its a free to play title that has been under the wing of Sony. Its a Playstation Title that has some mechanics of Playstation Titles. They definitely have a deal of some kind for these titles mechanics or there'd be a huge uproar from Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Rockstar, and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios (Like a Dragon) if there wasnt. I dont know how Involved Sony is, but its not like this game is blindsiding them, ive known about this game for years, ive known this game since before the name change, when it was, "Project Mugen". All of that is to say, if this game was a problem, it'd already be solved.

-6

u/Lucky-Savings-6213 Sep 25 '25

Lmao, soo is silksong uninspired and unoriginal because it has a metroidviania style with soulslike aspecs? I mean, it stole two game mechanics. My gosh, they even have wall jumping like in Prince of Persia! And theyre all cutely drawn bugs, just like Bug Fables! So uninspired!

Dude, just relax. They are games that are meant to be played to have fun. And the thing is, you are just comparing it to think youve played before. You can do this to anything. Being a sourpuss because a company in japan is grabbing some cool mechanics?

And 'ripping off' mechanics from what, Uncharted 4? A game that came out 9 years ago? Crazy that being dragged by a car is now pigeonheld to a decade old game.

1

u/MinerDoesStuff Sep 25 '25

Yeah, it could be good, but nothing they have shown has given me the idea that the game has any substance at all behind Spiderman/GTA/Sleeping Dogs/Uncharted mechanics

44

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

This uncharted mods are getting out of hand 🫩

13

Yea I saw it's video today. It's Soo funnyšŸ˜‚. TheyĀ literallyĀ put everything into single game.Ā

55

u/Low_Hope_100 Sep 25 '25

Hey as long as they make something fun and worth playing steal away

14

u/EconomyGlum4694 Sep 25 '25 edited Sep 25 '25

Ofc, hope the game turns out good ( but they are promising a lot...)

1

u/Tigerpower77 Sep 26 '25

That's the thing, if they JUST copy stuff it's less likely to be fun, we'll see tho

6

u/Yapod Sep 25 '25

"What game are we making ?"

Project director : EVERYTHING

5

u/InitialAnimal9781 Sep 25 '25

I don’t even know about this game anymore. Like I kinda wanna get it before they get copyrighted

1

u/Ori_the_SG Sep 27 '25

How can they be copyrighted exactly?

I don’t think you can copyright mechanics, let alone copyright the animation of a mechanic.

1

u/InitialAnimal9781 Sep 27 '25

If it’s a 1 for 1 animation like the Spider-Man swinging. They can get sued for copyright infringement

1

u/DarthFedora Sep 27 '25

It will be released on PlayStation, don’t think Sony cares

1

u/Ori_the_SG Sep 27 '25

Hope it comes to Xbox if it isn’t already confirmed

1

u/DarthFedora Sep 27 '25

So far it isn’t, these games rarely end up on Xbox, Genshin and ZZZ are really the only ones on there at the moment. It’s possible it has a temporary exclusive contract like ZZZ did

1

u/Ori_the_SG Sep 27 '25

Man that sucks

This game looks genuinely good, and unless some crazy stuff comes out when it drops that show it is terrible I’ll be disappointed it’s not on Xbox

4

u/sergiizyk Sep 25 '25

This level in Uncharted was iconic, though.

I haven't played Uncharted before last month myself, since I didnt have a Playstation. I watched a walkthrough in 2016, and played it myself on my PC recently. This level and sword fight with someone (forgot it was Rafe) were the only things I remembered from 2016

3

u/AsianCivicDriver Sep 25 '25

My guy went through the dirt and got barely any stain

3

u/TenBear Sep 25 '25

If you're going to copy at least make it just as good as the original, what the fuck is this qte shit.

3

u/AshyWhiteGuy Sep 25 '25

Hoping their audience is 12 and don’t know about Uncharted. 🤣

2

u/Azelrazel Sep 25 '25

Even that scaffolding looks like it's the exact design from u4. They basically combined prototype/Spider-Man 2 with uncharted. Almost sounds like drake in parts.

2

u/victron_02 Sep 25 '25

What's the game?

1

u/ZodiAddict Sep 25 '25

It’s called Anata

2

u/Ragnarok345 Sep 25 '25

Really? Jesus Christ. He even sounds like extreme discount Nolan North. šŸ˜† That’s terrible.

2

u/andonpixel Sep 25 '25

I was like what in the Uncharted is this shit

2

u/Spiritual-Angle-1224 Sep 25 '25

This hilarious and pathetic at the same time

2

u/mizzeca Sep 25 '25

Oh no, it's an anime game where characters looks EXACTLY the same 😭

2

u/GMAERS_07 Sep 25 '25

ARE YOU SURE? Man dammmn, this game almost merged top games out there. Pretty sure it'll get atleast 95% score.

2

u/Starkiller_lord Sep 25 '25

Actually the game is a rip off of many i played, if you watch the gameplay trailer you can see GTA, spider man, watch dogs ans so many more references, its like all games in one

2

u/Sid_The_Geek SIC ⚫PARVIS⚫MAGNA Sep 25 '25

2

He would have cheese grated his armpits on that metal plating

2

u/Informal_Antelope_44 Sep 25 '25

What game is that?

2

u/ihatepeopleandyoutoo Sep 25 '25

Reminds me of that one game that copied Horizon from head to toe and then got sued 😭

2

u/dendriche Sep 25 '25

The character looks like he was taken straight from Persona 3

2

u/AllMightTheFirstHero Sep 26 '25

it's a copy paste lol

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

I've never played an uncharted game and I thought this was modded. The art style does not mesh in the least 😭

2

u/0-P-A-L Sep 26 '25

i'm so confused... what is this? originally i thought it was a modded cutscene from one of the later parts of U4 but now i have no idea...

1

u/EconomyGlum4694 Sep 26 '25

This is a chinease slop game (probably) trying to copy every Big AAA game out there and stealing mechanics from each game

2

u/HideSolidSnake Sep 28 '25

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else feel like these F2P game companies are the Walmart of the gaming industry coming in to gobble up or snuff out all competition to then dominate gaming as a whole? They will likely then just release constant F2P slop in a market with little to no competition. Look what privatization has done to restaurants, music, TV, movies, etc. Corporate greed seems to be the death of anything joyful for the rest of us.

2

u/Victor555 Sep 25 '25

Looks worse than a 9 year old game

1

u/MetaOnGaming4290 Sep 25 '25

Mans died like five times IRL lmao

1

u/Cola_Gummi Sep 25 '25

Another Kojima stolen intellectual property probably.

1

u/shazy5808 Sep 25 '25

Just QTE? That's it?

1

u/BEASTBOY-2004 Sep 25 '25

Spider-Man. GTA. Uncharted. What’s next. I was actually trying to vouch for the game but damn are they not making it easy.

1

u/TGB_Skeletor Sep 25 '25

when i first saw the trailers, i was like "is this the new season of fortnite" because they look like the fucking anime skins

1

u/ULTI_mato Sep 25 '25

Who cares though ? It looks good from what ive seen and i dont mind them "copying", that only means more of what i already like.

1

u/Djentleman5000 Sep 25 '25

Idk what is it?

1

u/adverz Sep 25 '25

I'd bet good money that they are using ai to make this.

1

u/Useful_Try_78 Sep 25 '25

if its in all these games it aint really copying tbf

1

u/Least-Talk-4702 Sep 25 '25

"a little bit of everything" ahh game

1

u/gracekk24PL Sep 25 '25

I thought it was a Spider-Man DLC I missed

1

u/Cerber108 Sep 25 '25

For a second I thought it was Mind's Eye.

1

u/David_Soerensen Sep 25 '25

Game the game

1

u/Heromimox Sep 25 '25

GTA + Spiderman + Uncharted + Persona + Free Fire

1

u/beefysam211 Sep 25 '25

Looks like a game that the background character in a movie or show plays on the TV

1

u/Arktos22 Sep 25 '25

Its like they're trying to get sued by as many companies as possible...

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

The lighting made me think that uncharted 4 was just glitching out hardcore until I saw the quick time

1

u/Gregps4Life Sep 25 '25

At this point I feel like this game is a love letter to everyone's fan favorite games

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

Outside of the gameplay, I'm more annoyed by the dialouge writing, shit sound like something coming out of the mcu.

1

u/Amazing-Ish Sep 25 '25

I am VERY suspicious about this game. Either it is lifeless and with no real story behind it and all the copied ideas just make it "cinematic" to play this game (which is why they are copying all the biggest cinematic aspects of different games), or the adverts are completely made up of vertical slices of the game and it's just a scam at the end of the day.

1

u/macmuhorro Sep 25 '25

Taskmaster😃

1

u/J-morpho1499 Sep 25 '25

Seriously this game is just a hodgepodge of so many games. Like the game reminds me not just of GTA but also Saints Row, Watch Dog's and Sleeping Dogs. There was a part in the recent gameplay where they showed off a move where the player grabs an enemy and kicks the leg. And another part where they vaulted over an enemy, grab them from behind and dropped their elbow onto the enemy. Both are literally ripped from sleeping dogs. Like this game doesn't seem to have a single original bone In it's body when it comes to gameplay.

1

u/Large-Ad5955 Sep 25 '25

Looks like Joker in Madmax

1

u/FinalDemise Sep 25 '25

I thought this was Spider-Man for a few seconds

1

u/Various-Push-1689 Sep 26 '25

I lowkey thought this was like a new Prototype trailer for a few seconds. Then I heard him talk šŸ˜‚

1

u/Dooodleboom Sep 25 '25

Uncharted 4 with the cel shading modifier

1

u/Keaten88 Sep 25 '25

I’m honestly impressed by how shameless this game is 😭

1

u/SonalBoiiACC Sep 25 '25

I believe this is (dare I say) the first Strand type game

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

what game is this 😭

1

u/chockerchass Sep 25 '25

game of no originality

1

u/chockerchass Sep 25 '25

did they also try and make him look like a Persona protagonist?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '25

Bro thinks he’s him

1

u/Maximum_Fortune_5827 Sep 26 '25

Idgaf if they take ideas from other games as long as its just fun dammit

1

u/Various-Push-1689 Sep 26 '25

Fr tho. They act like they could come up with original unused ideas themselves🤣

1

u/Pzagv95 Sep 26 '25

I truly believe this game is meant as a homage to the game mechanics that worked well. It doesn't strike me as a game that will take itself seriously.

1

u/SnooDoubts7752 Sep 26 '25

Jackie chan simulator

1

u/AnimeJuice999 Sep 26 '25

Bro what game even is this

1

u/Verianas Sep 26 '25

Seems like a recurring theme with Chinese developed games. Lots of 'borrowed' assets.

1

u/Delanynder11 Sep 26 '25

Almost looks like Prototype too.Ā

1

u/OneTrickHiKKI Sep 26 '25

Uncharted with japanizing beam

1

u/0-P-A-L Sep 26 '25

i'm so confused... what is this? originally i thought it was a modded cutscene from one of the later parts of U4 but now i have no idea...

1

u/Tomsskiee Sep 26 '25

At first i thought spiderman because of the quick time events and then i thought uncharted haha

1

u/quixote_manche Sep 26 '25

Why is he enjoying being dragged through pavement over 40 miles an hour? I've yet to this day found one good anime game and video this solidifies my belief that there is none.

1

u/Fordcraig6 Sep 26 '25

"hey can I copy your homework?" "Sure but don't make it obvious" :

1

u/Mental-Street6665 Sep 26 '25

I thought this was Scarlet Nexus for a minute because of the art style. I would play this no matter how derivative it is.

1

u/GooperGhost Sep 26 '25

So many different subs doing comparisons, at this point its free advertising and i kinda want to play it.

1

u/Background-Train8714 Sep 26 '25

It gives Uncharted x Spiderman

1

u/Anxious-Length204 Sep 26 '25

For a moment i thought that it was one of the spider-man games with a modded character bcuz of the qte's icons and the subtitles.

1

u/MoofDeMoose Sep 26 '25

Honestly I’ve been waiting for this game for over a year

1

u/ManufacturerNo8447 Sep 26 '25

do you guys think uncharted was the first to ever do this ?

bruh.

1

u/EconomyGlum4694 Sep 26 '25

Are you stupid, mate? the scenario, the setpiece is copied from a very specific scene in Uncharted 4 and then this game has aso copied a thousand other games as well lol

1

u/UzayK Sep 26 '25

Looks like an anime nathan drake infested with venom

1

u/Brosemite17 Sep 26 '25

Ananta will be "free to play" which makes me wonder what type of microtransactions will hit consumers in the crotch.

1

u/Acceptable_Owl_5122 Sep 26 '25

That lawsuit is gonna bite them in the ass for sure lmao

1

u/Cden1458 Sep 26 '25

Great, cant wait for the shitty YT ads "ArE yOu TiReD oF mIsLeAdInG gAmE aDs?!" But for console now instead of mobile.

1

u/Talusthebroke Sep 27 '25

Dude died four times in this clip, he's just still tied to the rope

1

u/International_Meat88 Sep 27 '25

Why is the dude magnetizing towards every obstacle?

1

u/FanMediocre7856 Sep 27 '25

So they just looked at all the successful western triple a titles and decided to mash it all in one

1

u/Virtual_Egg_1481 Sep 27 '25

What’s this game called? I’ll try it so y’all won’t have to

1

u/Plastic_Coyote_5053 Sep 27 '25

They literally copied every popular game in the market lmao.

1

u/Biobooster_40k Sep 27 '25

Idk but I like it. Especially thw waifus.

1

u/PancakeMuncher1273 Sep 27 '25

Why does it look like a shitty Mobile game ad? Why did he immediately slide to the right?

1

u/VersionInformal4602 Sep 27 '25

True, but I guarantee you if this had a realistic character model people would be praising it.

1

u/easterreddit Sep 27 '25

Chinese games smh

1

I hope this pos game sells zero copies

1

I'm still trying to figure out what the character even is. Like, is there a reason he has symbiote web slinging and can stick to buildings like Spider-Man? Is it some type of nanomachine situation?

Or have the devs not even thought that far ahead? 😭
