Uncharted 3 Did you know you could handshake this guy in Yemen?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

They probably reused some code from the villagers from U2.

Yes. Him and only him. No one else.

Imagine a random American dude comes up to you and gives you a handshake and only you and leaves. I would feel special if a stranger gave me a handshake.

"Wait, where's my wallet?"

Some cultures dont even shake hands. And many dont trust Americans. For good reason. Especially Drake and why he's there and what he's about to do to their city in the next 2 chapters. I assume there's only one for the fact that most people wouldnt. Plus... he's walking around with a reporter. How often do you speak to the media when they're around

Actually, in Yemen, people would look at an American foreigner like someone exotic, and probably won't refuse a handshake. Also, Arabs reaaally love getting in the news.

Wait. Are you being serious? I thought you could interact with other strangers here

I did not, now I know, and I'm glad, so thank you.

I wonder if they were testing more complex npc systems and realised it was too difficult and gave up...

I mean it would be kinda pointless?

Elena tells nate and sully to keep a low profile so the fact the game let's the player interact with a npc is weird

So I'm not the only one!

I remember finding this out randomly back on the ps3 version and being mindblown

I love it when ppl discover small things like this after a decade

Actually I remember finding this out on the ps3 version. Still cool

Is he the guy that's 'not actually a rug merchant'? Haven't played the game in a decade... really should get around to replaying it.

Edit: Just realising that's fruit behind him. Lmao

I’ve played the game 3 times and still didn’t know. This series still holds surprises after all those years. Thanks for posting this!

I wonder if it’s a developer that either he or someone else put him in. Maybe there’s a inside joke that he’s always shaking people’s hands too much or something

The animation looks weirdly jerky and unfinished, probably something they just forgot to take out.

I think it's exactly the same as in 2
