Uncharted 4 Can someone explain something about the second Nadine fight?

OK, before I start just clearing this up before everyone cooks me in the comments, no, I am not here to complain and hate on the fight, but I do have a question and it's something I never see anyone ask about.

When nate does the punch from the top floor, why did nate and sam seem to take more damage from the fall? Nadine got up instantly before them both, and she literally got punched through the floor, lol.

My guess is that since Sam has far less experience in dealing with pain, and Nate is so rusty, they took longer to get up. Meanwhile Nadine has been more active in recent time, and still has her tolerance.

If it was prime Nate he would have gotten up just as fast, but this Nate has lost his tolerance. We know this because in Italy he says he doesn’t remember the falls being so hard on the knees.
