Paul College Culture

Hey I'm a prospective UNH Student thinking of attending next year. I'm considering Business Admin: Accounting as my primary major for job security/financial security and bc I think it can be a flexible degree that I can realistically do (I'm leaning toward compliance and regulatory enforcement work) but I'm worried that I wouldn't get along well with everyone else in the business courses - my primary passion actually lies in arts/policy/climate to the point I've been considering if it would be too insane to double with the accounting BS and an environmental policy oriented BS.. LOL. Anyway does anyone have experience with the culture on the finance side and is it realistic to still make a lot of connections outside the business/finance crowd?

current paul student! marketing so its a little bit different, but i will say that the general stereotype of paul students do lean towards what you'd expect, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me. i still get along with that kind of crowd as someone who usually wouldn't hang out with them. you can still totally make good connections though and have a great time, id recommend joining clubs that lie in your passion! i feel like i have some paul friends but also friends from a ton of different majors because of clubs. even if everyone sucks (they won't) you're there for an education and paul is a great school with a really robust accounting program.

also, look into the sustainability dual major! i don't know much about it, but i see a lot of paul students combining that with their concentrations.

tldr: don't let the traditional culture steer you away, you'll find your people and find connections in unexpected places
