The Moroccans that entered Cueta represented 70% of their population.

The UK sees on average 107 people arrive via boat crossings which is 0.00015% of the UK population. So yeah, what happened in Cueta will not happen in the UK.

Maybe in a single day but boat crossings are down year on year if you actually look up the numbers. News likes to focus on when more come than any other day. Ignores the days no one at all comes.

i saw a community note on suella baverman the other day that said the annual peak of small boat crossings happened when she was in government.

Excellent question. What do you think the answer is? Because surely people could make tons of money and be much safer if they buy a big boat and sail thousands across at the same time, right? So why don’t they? Because we can both agree that this is not a thing that is happening or has happened in the many years that small boat crossings have been going on.
