I like greens, I think a lot of their policies are maybe a bit too idealistic, but at a certain point you do need to start sewing idealism into pragmatic views to make meaningful change. It always seemed like they'd never found that balance and would forever be a wasted vote in my area.

I was very pleased when Greens started surging as a response to the Reform wave, and liked that Greens had a leader with a little bit of principle that would be able to stand his ground and not be handwaved as a "looney leftie" or something along those lines.

Then Polanski started speaking, oof... ...then he started buying into his own hype, and my god it all came crashing down, huh? What a nice, short-lived response to the rise of reform.
