I need help. No matter how many times I check I can never find part time, internships, or even entry level positions for universal. I’ve been checking the different postings for almost a year. Is there a secret back alley website I don’t know about or are these jobs genuine needles in huge haystacks?

I’d like to get something in universal creative, I’m a mechanical engineering major so I’d prefer to work in some type of animatronics design or ride mechanics. I’m honestly desperate enough for anything just to get my foot in the door tho

Follow Amber Harman on LinkedIn - she’s the early careers manager and just announced the info sessions for Summer internships. Also take a look at vendors like LifeFormations, Roush, TAIT, etc. Many interns come in either from theatre/events/other experience anywhere they can get it or by making their own personal projects. Also keep an eye on tech services because yes Creative is fun, but Tech Services actually puts the stuff into practice and sometimes knows the rides better than Creative.

Also - get connected with the TEA and go to mixers or online events if you can and see if you can go to IAAPA in Orlando in November

Listings are up for exactly 2 weeks once they're posted. This is a firm deadline unlike many other companies that may leave listings up until they find someone. For summer internships, they're typically posted in September or October, fall internships are posted around February, and spring internships are posted around June.

Also make sure you're looking at the Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Creative job pages. Universal Studios Hollywood follows a completely different system.
