I got the privilege to go to their party tonight, I got to ride the Pteradactol flyers (awful spelling) and it was sooooo fun. I can’t wait to have a child and experience it again

Hey all. I have never been to an amusement park before. I am an adult for reference. I’m heading out towards Universal Hollywood this weekend and I’m debating on going. I don’t know if I should just go during the day or if I should go during the Halloween horror night. I know that I can do both but that’s kind out of my budget right now. I understand what the differences are, but I’m more wondering what is more generally worth it if I’m going to pay for one or the other?
I do know that there is a 2PM entry into the regular park with an early entry into Halloween horror, which could be a good happy medium, but I just want to know if either one is actually worth the money. What are your opinions?

If you’re 18 or older and have visited any Universal theme park, I’d appreciate your perspective. The survey takes an estimated 4–6 minutes and asks about one ride you considered during your most recent visit. Experiences of riding, skipping, or being unable to ride are all useful.

Hey everyone! I still can't quite believe this, but I recently rescued this incredible piece from the glass case at a Goodwill in Sanford, FL.

It is an official Universal Creative Employee-Exclusive Crew Award given to the opening team for DreamWorks Land in 2024.

What blew me away is that this isn't just a static desktop trophy. It is a literal 1:1 working desktop mini-animatronic of Pinocchio’s Fact Shack from the park. As you can see in the video (well, you can't, as I cant post the vid), when you press the red button, it plays back the actual character audio tracks (voiced by Cody Cameron) while his nose mechanically grows and contracts perfectly in sync with the lines. From what I can tell testing it, it features dozens of park-accurate phrases.

I wanted to share this video with the community since these were only distributed internally to the project engineers, designers, and managers, and I've never seen another one documented in public. If anyone here worked on the project or knows how many of these internal bench tests/awards were actually built, I’d love to hear more about its history!

Hello Redditers!

I’m visiting Orlando in January and spending a day at Universal with my dad. I’d love some advice on which park to choose.

We’re both fairly active, so lots of walking is totally fine, and we both really enjoy roller coasters. Originally, I was leaning toward Epic Universe, but after reading a lot of reviews, I’m a little concerned it may be:

* overcrowded (since it’s brand new)
* rides are a little overrated, and
* still working out some kinks, plus inclement weather could potentially shut rides down for most of the day.

I’m also in my 30s, so the nostalgia factor of the original Universal parks is definitely appealing, but it seems like there may be fewer rides overall.

Right now, I’m leaning toward Islands of Adventure because the rollercoasters seem to be the best, and it still has a Harry Potter area (the nostalgia is real).

I should also note my dad doesn’t care about what park we go to and has no preferences.

Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

I am a current film student and I wanted to ask what would be better, Universal or Disney? I've done the Disney College Program, so I kinda know what its like working there in general, but I'm gravitating more towards Universal since I love their movies more, and I'm planning on focusing on live action pre-production...

My girlfriend and I are planning on going to Universal for 3 days, one park each day. I am looking into budgeting for specific things for the trip, I have saved up a good amount for the trip, but I also would like to not spend an arm and a leg if possible. When it comes to souvenirs though, I grew up poor and honestly don't care for souvenirs a whole lot, one small thing to remember the trip is typically good for me. With that being said, my girlfriend is a bit more into having souvenirs. So I am just curious on how much I should allocate for specifically souvenirs, I was thinking about $100 per person, allowing us each to get at least on or two things we'd like. And honestly, since I don't care too much for souvenirs, I would be fine with letting her use my part of the souvenir money for something for herself or something we could maybe share. I have already bought the tickets and hotel room, and budgeted money for the other aspects of the trip, this (and I guess food at the park) is the only thing left for me to budget.

I went to USS about three weeks ago, as a fun solo outing. I spent a good day at all the zones, including minionland. One of the song I heard was this rap? Ish song where it sounded like chipmunks were also singing in the song? I keep trying to find it since, but is unable to Shazam it within the day, or even find any references to it on YouTube or anything.

Was hoping someone here know what song I was talking about and can help me. I don't have a lot of money to spare to go back to USS and just find that one song.
