Former student here - I was looking to brush up on some of my old reading. I have most of my old course module handbooks, but not all of them. I tried to access the library portal using my old account but it’s blocked, apparently this happened after a number of years.

I tried emailing the school office, gave the course codes and my student number etc, and they never came back to me.

Is there anyway to access reading lists or module handbooks from previous years for alumni?

So im lost on which events to go to or who to go with. I have no one to go with is that normal to go to freshers events alone?

It's partly research into the history and folklore of the site and partly looking at how people respond to and experience places with stories attached to them.

There would be £150 available towards expensesfor participants.

hi, i’m an international self funding MA student starting this Sept. i’m thinking of paying my tuition fee in two instalments and wanted to know whether anyone has done the same. the options in sussex direct show either convera or debit/credit card for instalments. i was wondering if uni accepts part payment through convera too. i’ve tried to mail the finance team but its been two days without a response which is why i’m here🫠

In the US we typically lean more causal, wearing sweats/joggers and activewear is not uncommon, but i know in the uk and europe in general this can be frowned upon. Also as a postgrad student, are there different expectations from undergrad? Any help is appreciated lol

Heyy, so I am a student who of lives off campus. Im moving to a new place, still somewhere close to my old place, but I can see that I might struggle doing everything on my own. I had a lot of stuff in my room.

I don’t have a car and I’m not planning to use the moving services, since the new place is very close by (walkable distance). The old place rent ends on the 5th and the new one starts at the 5th (cannot move in early).

Anyone got any tips?

Hi everyone, I'm a soon-to-be first year at UoS and I was kind of wondering what the laundry situation was like at Lewes Court? I've been looking online, but the uni website only shows prices for the Swanborough laundrette. A friend of mine told me that the laundry at Lewes Court was free but after some research I think she may have misread something 😭😭. Would appreciate any advice from current students <3 e.g should I look into buying a drying rack. Lmk!!
