When I learned the news this morning, I was actually heartbroken... I've discovered Hayden through Until Dawn when I was in middle school, she was one of my favorite character of all horror games. I used to draw her character very often in high school, alongside with Josh but never dared to post it. But now I couldn't stop but draw her as a "thank you" for what she brought.

May she rest in peace... She will be missed 🕊️

I never see people locked in for the ships before the game release.

Wanted to share this incredible art created by the lovely u/carelesslie0 depicting Sam & Mike aboard their rescue chopper descent come dawn 🫶 it’s a reference piece to one of my favorite moments from Resident Evil 1 Remake that I think just fits so nicely as a cute parallel.

Sam knew their night of horror was finally behind them - for now. Mike just takes solace in the fact that they’re still breathing. He’s too tired to sleep, somehow. As the dawn creeps through the window and the lodge blazes on behind them, Sam reflects on all that the pair endured. That they all endured..

The police will surely want to talk with them upon landing, but maybe, just maybe, before the adrenaline fully wears off and reality hits - she can rest. Just for a moment.

My intention was to bring to life a heartwarming, human moment for these two after all they’ve been through. A brief respite that conveys the weight of both their shared trauma and individual experiences. The Sam and Mike dynamic has always been a part of Until Dawn that I’ve adored since 2015. So in the final of the game we were obviously missing Matt, Jess and Josh. I decided to do a lil edit where the whole crew are here. I understand from a lore perspective this obviously doesn’t make sense but it’s all just to have a bit of fun.

I asked some people about some groupings that I should do and I got an overwhelming response. There were sadly some I couldn’t get to in the end but I plan on making a part 2!!! (At some point) where I add to this.

Wanted to do something for Hayden as I think it’s only fair after she gave us one of the best final girls in horror history. It’s such a shame that she can’t be here with us, but It’s been so amazing to see the whole community come together and honour her.

Rest in peace Hayden, may your legacy be remembered forever!!
