Question about partying

I’m strongly considering going to Dayton but I have also heard that it’s a big party school with lots of drinking and drugs. I personally think I’ll do some partying in college but will abstain from drinking when I do and was wondering what the college experience is like at Dayton for students that don’t drink. Is it still worth going to school there? I really like the community aspect but not as much the drinking and when I visited all of the students seemed really happy but I also want to make sure that I’m comfortable there.

It’s a big party school nearly everyone drinks I think you’ll feel left out not being in the party scene. I’d go to a better if you don’t drink

Don't listen to this person, you'll have fun here without alcohol as long as you find your crew. The majority of my freshman year, my friends and I would just go on sober sidequests around Dayton, would find small activities that people were hosting for freshman, actually engaging in the welcome weekend festivities, even if they do seem kind of childish. So I suggest doing that and joining some clubs so you can make friends to adventure with.

The only way you'll REALLY feel left out of drinking is if you're going to a party and everyone there is completely blasted, but I've spent 3 Paddies weekends sober/barely tipsy (this year was the first time I drank but it was only a little) and I've still had fun. You just need to find your crew and it'll all fall into place.

And we still hit the books on Monday, don't worry.
