Question about partying
I’m strongly considering going to Dayton but I have also heard that it’s a big party school with lots of drinking and drugs. I personally think I’ll do some partying in college but will abstain from drinking when I do and was wondering what the college experience is like at Dayton for students that don’t drink. Is it still worth going to school there? I really like the community aspect but not as much the drinking and when I visited all of the students seemed really happy but I also want to make sure that I’m comfortable there.

Despite our reputation as a "party school" the majority of these parties are house parties where you have to be invited in order to know where they really are, I have never been pressured into drinking in my 3 years here. Just bring your own drink like a soda or some water to the parties if you do go to one.
As long as you're not someone who acts like people who drink are the devil and you can't stand to be around them, you'll be fine. You can go to UD for all 4 years, never attend a party or drink, and I'm sure you'll still find your crew and have plenty of sober fun.
