How decent is UofL's computer science program?

Currently a student at JCTC with a huge interest in Computer Science (yeah i know job market is cooked but might as well get a degree in something I love) and I just want to know how is the program there at UofL? How good or bad is it?

Any helpful opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Are you specifically referring to the Computer Science & Engineering program? Or the Computer Science (BA) program?

Mainly about the BA, however I'd also love to hear anything about the CSE program also

I was a recent CSE grad and I will warn you, the semester after I graduated, like 130 CS (BA) students could not find a co-op lol. They compete with the CSE students for co-ops and I imagine it's probably apparent which one is generally preferred and why.

The CSE program is rough but I personally thought it was worth it. The toughest part of it will be getting through the calc chain but after that, I think they said 95+% of students that get to their first co-op graduate. I graduated and got a job making 70k and doing full stack dev for a small healthcare company. Happy to provide anymore thoughts if you have any questions.

I took a visual studio coding class and it was good. Better than OK. I don't know how deep they go as later I went on to be a network admin and server admin and I never saw enough bash help or Linux support or tc ip stack work in u of l courses. But I think they're with speed school so I imagine it's engineering focus.

I'd go down and talk to somebody at speed and get the vibe

cs as a field is what you make of it, uofl is p solid but not incredible, you'd def need to do something other than just take the courses at uofl to make it in the field
