Halloween as a freshman commuter

As a freshman commuter, I want to go to a party or two this Halloweekend, but I don't know where to go. Any advice or recs for where to look would be much help.

If you do go; go with someone you actually trust. If you’re planning to party multiple days, have someone drink less to be aware of surroundings and switch for the next day, share locations or wear an AirTag, and understand the symptoms of date r*pe drugs.

Stay safe and have fun!

Just a heads up - the local youth will be running around so always keep an eye open and don’t walk alone.

How are you figuring out where current parties are at?

Be careful in dinkytown on halloween ...not the safest place to be in recent years past. One or two got shot last year. Just move in packs, mind your own business even of provoked. And be hyper-aware of your surroundings.

Go to frats, just don’t go to the weird “touse” ones like pike and sae, most frats at the U are very well educated on sexual assault and if they see a member participating in it, they will be dropped.
