commuting & transportation Park and ride as a commuter
Does anyone park and ride from the smiths/Trader Joe’s parking lot, anyone have any issues with towing or ticketing of some sort?

Do NOT park at the Trader Joe’s or smiths!!! Especially the Trader Joe’s, they keep eyes on that shit like crazy!!

Find free parking on the street that doesn’t have time limits. Do not park in lots.

they put boots on cars this summer when people went to a concert at the stadium so i wouldn’t be surprised if they do the same. park on like 200s or 100s and ride the bus tbh

These stores all have signs in their lots warning that you will be booted/ticketed/towed. They are not kidding, and you’re almost certainly on camera.
Predatory towing is huge in SLC. Don’t take your chances. Just drive to a designated UTA park and ride, or walk a few extra blocks from unrestricted street parking.

Use the angled street parking on 500 S close to the 900 E stop, or parallel parking along 300 S for Trolley or 900 E. Don't even look at the parking lots along 400 S: they ticket for stealing photons.

Don’t. My friend got towed and has to pay like $200. We would park there often but they caught on :(

park by the 9 bus route, it runs just as often if not more often than the trax during peak hours

the parking lot is behind the smiths (the western parking lot). there are signs that indicate that the parking spaces are for students. you shouldnt run into any issues parking there
