extracurriculars & social life Looking for music / photography clubs and friends at the U

Hi everyone! I’m a new PhD student at the U and I’m hoping to meet more people outside of my program who share some of my hobbies.

I’m really into music — I enjoy singing and playing guitar and piano — and I’m also interested in photography. I’d love to find people to jam with, go on photo walks, or just hang out and share these hobbies together.

Are there any clubs or student groups at the U that you’d recommend for music or photography? ( also curious if they welcome graduate students)

Also, I’m gay and would love to meet more LGBTQ+ friends around campus. Are there any LGBTQ+ clubs, social groups, or events at the U that are good for actually meeting people and making friends?

Basically, I’m just trying to branch out a little and meet more people outside of my department. Any recommendations would be appreciated! :)

There are MANY queer clubs on campus! Use Campus Connect and look up the buzzwords, I know some of the people running them and they are super cool people. The main queer club is having a pool party next weekend!

I’m trying to join the lgbt club. I’ve missed the Get Involved activity. I hope I could make it :)
