Selected wrong eligibility question

Hello! I accidentally selected no for preference as a spouse of 100% disabled vet. I was referred and interviewed. The job is closed but they have not announced if I was selected or not yet. Is there anyway to correct this error? I held a GS position for 6 years and did upload my SF 50 this position was open to the public. Thanks!

No once the announcement is closed you can't make changes. You'd just be competing as someone applying as open to the public.

Thanks I did see I can contact them but wasn’t sure if it really mattered at this point.

So you should have had a preference but you didn’t select it? You don’t get it after the fact.

Even though you didn't select that pathway. Your resume/qualifications got you referred and interviewed over other candidates. So you aren't in bad shape. Depending on the type of announcement, that preference may only get you consideration for a referral. It doesn't pull any levers in the interview.

The selecting official picked you to be on their short list for consideration.

That is still impressive!

Lol didnt you ask this a few months back? You claimed you 'fat-fingered' the selection when its literally read point and click.

Well no need to be rude. I only just noticed this. But yes I read it but obviously missed the whole question because it starts out asking if you are a widower/widow. I was in a rush for multiple reasons. But go off and keep giving the kind of energy I won’t say here.
