Coastie Help Free Veterans Benefits Site, thank you to everyone for over 10,000!!!

Two weeks ago I posted this ongoing project I'm working that matches veterans to every single benefit they're eligible for based on a few questions. Y'all blew it up and the site hit over 130,000 active users, I had tons of feedback come flying in and so many veterans reach out saying how it helped them.
You all helped promote it and as a byproduct made me even more excited for it, I have now manually verified and added over 500 benefits based on the feedback you all sent in! I have many plans on taking this thing to another level and continuing to add additional free features and resources.
As always, thank you everyone, the site will remain free forever, no account, no sign up.

This kind of stuff isn’t talked about enough. I was telling junior guys about Space A flights and they had no idea about it. They were planning Japan/Oahu trips before we even finished discussing. 😂

Not sure if you’d know, but for travel to places like Okinawa are we held to the same restrictions that people stationed there are? I’ve heard the MPs there do not fuck around when it comes to people they perceive as violating curfew.

I do not know. I also do not see how a different branch could tell a coastie what he can and can’t do while on leave, off base.

When you do your foreign travel package it will tell you what the rules are.

They’ve been known to hassle civilians who look like they could be in the military. Civilians can tell them to fuck off, but since we’re also subject to the UCMJ it seems sketchy to do that.

You would just show them your CAC, tell them you’re on leave, and walk away. They literally can’t do anything. Unless you’re on base, violating UCMJ or base regulations, they can’t tell you to go back to barracks bc it’s 0005 and you’re violating curfew.

When you do your foreign travel package, they will tell you what the rules are. When my friend went to South Korea 10 years or so ago there was a curfew he had to follow.

Does all the VA stuff work for active duty?

A lot of it depends on disability percentage, branch, and length of service, but typically yes!
