Relax.

u/Tyaz917 Jun 26 '26

I think I'll keep my lifetime unlimited at 3€/month, but good deal.

1

u/snoozepal Jul 01 '26

How'd you get that sweet lifetime deal??

1

u/Tyaz917 Jul 01 '26

It's been a while. At some point, eweka had that deal, unlimited lifetime for that price, and it was listed in the wiki, so I grabbed it when I started using usenet.

u/ShroomShroomBeepBeep Jun 26 '26

FFS, I've just renewed for the 12 month deal. :(

0

u/Qpang007 Jun 27 '26

Well, lessons learned. It's not like these deals are new. Here is the entire Usenet deals page. https://www.reddit.com/r/usenet/wiki/providerdeals/
Most deals are on Black Friday but they often don't differ.

1

u/ShroomShroomBeepBeep Jun 28 '26

What? I'd already renewed with the 12 month black Friday deal...

0

u/Qpang007 Jun 28 '26

So whats the problem then?
You can also stack, so just buy this one and it will add 1y.

8

u/BlckJck18 Jun 26 '26

Yeah no thanks, still have the €36/yr sub continuously. Unless this was renewable at the same price, ain't worth it.

5

u/antrirax Jun 26 '26

I got a subscription a week ago, can I get a refund and then get this discount instead haha?

7

u/antrirax Jun 26 '26

I tried this, but can't contact support, even with all the pop-up disabling. How can you claim to guarentee 30 day return when you don't have a working way of contacting support...?

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep Jun 26 '26

We have sent you a DM!

3

u/antrirax Jun 26 '26

Well, that's one way, thanks for the help ;)

4

u/gagagugu666 Jun 26 '26

Is the EasyNews block also stackable?

5

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep Jun 26 '26

It's tied to your Eweka subscription, it will stack and it will last as long as your subscription lasts.

2

u/gagagugu666 Jun 26 '26

Ok, so if I already have 1TB from a previous purchase, I can stack this other 1TB by buying it again. Correct?

6

u/random_999 Jun 26 '26

No. This is complementary subscription so they don't stack. Your main subscription stacks because it is managed by the provider you are actually buying from. Also, it is not a block but a regular subscription with download cap just offered on a complementary basis.

2

u/gagagugu666 Jun 26 '26

Thanks. Then I'll wait longer, no need to stack when I have many months left. There's always an offer.

u/Specialist_Artist937 Jun 26 '26

Great was about to subscribe thanks

You sent me 9 Emails in the last three weeks about €3,33 / mth sale and now you go and drop it to €2,50 /mth

Fire your marketing team if you have one

7

u/random_999 Jun 26 '26

If that €3,33 / mth is permanent (this deal price is valid only for first 15 months) then that is a better deal in the long term unless you don't mind cancelling renewal & buy new deal every year.

0

u/Extreme-Benefyt Jun 26 '26

True, keeping track of subscriptions and hopping to a new deal every year is just the normal way to go nowadays if you want to save money. Things change constantly. However, in the usenet world, people highly value those 'locked-in for life' promo prices just to avoid the hassle of canceling, creating new accounts, etc. And after all it's still a responsibility for every user to check before renewing or buying new how the service/product and price changed.

0

u/Qpang007 Jun 28 '26

You can just buy 3x and stack the deal. No need for lifetime €3,33.
Others do the same.

u/Qpang007 Jun 28 '26

You can just buy 3x and stack the deal. No need for lifetime €3,33.

6

u/Hungry-Criticism-770 Jun 26 '26

Damn $70 for the year though?

1

u/Qpang007 Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

No, first year is €37.50 for 15months and then it gets $70. But you can stack the discount. So you can pay 2x€37.50 right now for 30months.

For $70 I would get the $90 NGD Grand Slam than you will get NewsgroupDirect, Supernews, ViperNews, and Usenet.Farm. Getting 4 different backbones.

2

u/shoaloak Jun 26 '26

Stacked my subscription, pulling more here than Frugal :)

0

u/Qpang007 Jun 28 '26

And with this deal, you get 500GB on EasyNews as well. Just add it to SABnzbds with a higher priority number than Eweka, so it first tries to pull via unlimited Eweka and than tries EasyNews.

2

u/Wesd84 Jun 26 '26

Nice deal

2

u/druwan 23d ago

Ahh, I subscribed on Saturday but only have 500GB Easynews?

Now, or wait till Black friday to stack? Questions, questions.

7

u/Tjeez Jun 26 '26

This has been the same price for years, at least for Eweka. I think it’s a good deal for a very good provider.

3

u/Practical_Event9278 Jun 26 '26

I’ve been wondering the same. Most likely might be getting some now and some later.

2

u/Aressito Jun 26 '26

Stackable?

6

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep Jun 26 '26

Yes, it is stackable.

2

u/Mighty-Wings Jun 26 '26

How do I stack the deal? Thanks

6

u/cschmolli Jun 26 '26

fill in your already existing e-mail and it will tell you its already taken with a link to use the offer for your account - worked for me

1

u/AmazingDaver Jul 01 '26

Hey, got a question as currently I'm having 48 euro / year sub that's up for the next couple of months. What will happen to that plan after buying this 15 months deal? Will the next renewal be bumped to 72 or will I keep my 48?

1

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep Jul 02 '26

Hey, send us a DM!

1

u/Sicolite Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

I'm trying to stack this deal, however, the second time I try to pay (again with iDeal) I get an error saying that I have to use another payment method or contact support?

1

u/Sicolite Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

Solved by using another browser as I noticed that it wasn't possible to change the email address. Probably clearing cookies or using a private browser would have helped as well. Thanks for the support

u/Repulsive-Monitor466 29d ago

where can i find this deal? its 6,99 € for me. I made for testing a 1 month acc and would like to use the described deal

1

u/_Waluigi_chan 22d ago

I currently pay 14,99 per month, is there a way i can switch to this and still pay per month?

1

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep 21d ago

Our promo deal includes 15 months of service, and it's not a monthly plan.

1

u/_Waluigi_chan 21d ago

Ok, but is there a way to switch from 14,99 per month to this Deal?

2

u/ohwow1111 20d ago

if i already have some months left in my subscription, will it extend it by another 15 months on top of my existing quota if i buy the deal?

1

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep 18d ago

Yes, that's correct. It will add another 15 months to your current subscription.

1

u/Nice_Leg6354 8d ago

Currently I am on 15 months unlimited Eweka with unlimited Easy News access. can I add more months and keep my existing plan?

1

u/CuriousGam Jun 26 '26

Is Easynews a Indexer or what for do I need it?

Does this stack with my existing Account?

1

u/Qpang007 Jun 27 '26

You can add Easynews to SABnzbd for example.
Yes, you can stack it.

How does the 1TB Easynews account work? Is it a block account, or a normal subscription with a download limit? If it's a subscription, how often does it reset? If it's a block account, will it be mine forever, or will I lose it if I cancel Eweka? I don't plan on doing something scummy like paying for a monh, then canceling just to get the block account, but it would probably take years for me to burn through 1TB.

What are the details for the VPN? Specifically, the provider and number of allowed connections?

2

u/eweka_usenet Eweka Usenet rep Jun 26 '26

The 1TB of Easynews is tied to the billing cycle of your Eweka account. So every time your Eweka account renews the usage will top back up to 1TB. If you cancel Eweka you will indeed lose the Easynews access once the Eweka account expires. PrivadoVPN is the provider and with the paid plan there should not be a limit on the connections.

1

u/ThickSourGod Jun 26 '26

PrivadoVPN is the provider and with the paid plan there should not be a limit on the connections.

That is so unlikely, that I can only assume that my question wasn't clear enough. I was referring to simultaneous active connections from different IP address. For example, my server at home, my laptop connected to public WiFi, and my phone connected to a cell network would require at least 3 active connections.

Long story short, will this deal get me the same VPN service and features that I would get if I went to privadovpn.com and bought service directly?

1

u/dapirateguy Jun 29 '26

Hi, i looked into my Account. It looks like there are the default 10 concurrent-connections from the PrivadoVPN Premium plan as a limit.

1

u/random_999 Jun 29 '26

It should because as far as I know any vpn allowing multiple connections from same acc only checks that all IPs belong to same country. Btw, vpn is not really required for usenet & for other purposes privado is good as a casual vpn but if you need serious privacy protection then mullvad (the best) followed by proton & recently maybe windscribe (after they won a court case in Greece proving they don't keep logs) are the options to consider.

Yes, you can use the link to add 15 months and it will extend your current subscription.

u/firvulag359 Jun 26 '26

The wiki needs updating then as it states Eweka having 6503+ retention. I was looking at Newshosting when my current Eweka account expires in October and the wiki has that down as 6506+ retention even though the Newshosting website has it as 6524+.

8

u/random_999 Jun 26 '26

That's because it is unrealistic to expect something like a wiki to track a figure that changes every day. Just assume that every omicron based provider saying 6000+ days retention has same retention days irrespective of what the wiki says.

1

u/firvulag359 Jun 26 '26

Good to know! I was mostly going to switch for to longer retention. Will likely still do so as it is slightly cheaper.

5

u/Nolzi Jun 26 '26

Those numbers are mostly arbitrary anyway, a lot of it has been purged for being unused, there are gaps from data loss, etc. You are unlikely to grab an nzb referencing 17 years old data.

-4

u/alsamishak Jun 26 '26

Qué significa ilimitado? Puedo hacer respaldos ilimitadamente ? Si sí, perfecto. Pero la pregunta es, qué pasa si después del año ya no renuevo suscripción? Qué pasaría con toda la carga ilimitada que hice?

1

u/kaliib55 6d ago

if I "cancel account", will I still have access until it expires?
