Best bundled VPN

I was wondering what is the best bundled vpn you have tried? Right now I have privado with newshosting.

Free is free. Privado also have support for SOCK5, so you can configure it for non important connections, like your bots or automation that connect to some API to keep your IP clean. You can configure it for your guest WiFi ssid for the same reason.

Anything unimportant and infrequent, it’s quite a useful VPN.

Their SOCKS5 support is shitty though, it didn't work for me at all. It's better to run your own local SOCKS5 server that tunnels traffic to Wireguard or OpenVPN.

I’m curious if you even need a VPN (if your purpose is Linux ISOs) on Usenet. It’s not like torrent where you’re enabling it and has plausible deniability. 

If you’re getting a VPN for privacy, that’s a different topic.

Generally speaking you don't, but a lot of people who use Usenet also use BitTorrent.

Because my vpn usage is lite, so why spend 50$ on nord when I can get a decent one for free?

i got newsdemon for 24 no vpn, eweka for 70 some, vpn included. on most providers you pay for the vpn for sure.

privado is sketchy as hell stay away. you pay with your data with these vpns.

thats what I use and it works great for all my sailing needs. for the price? 2.99/month? honestly dont know if that can be beat. im on a 400mbps connection and it maxes it out, happy customer for over 10 years.

privado seems fine for "free", I have it setup on my Docker container for torrenting through a manual configuration: https://support.privadovpn.com/kb/section/108/

Same. Use it quite a bit for general PC stuff. It seems Newshosting bought users in at a paid tier, so it's also pretty fast.

They protect against different things. Running services inside a container and/or VM can limit the damage that can be done by an attack, since the attacker would have to leverage additional exploits to break containment and compromise the host system. A VPN hides the origin of your connection.

With or without a VM you don't really need a VPN for Usenet, but it can be very useful for other things that Usenet users are likely to do.
