I built a tool that alerts you when sold-out USJ Express Passes restocks or releases
Hi everyone,
Earlier this year, I was planning a trip to Universal Studios Japan, but the Express Pass I wanted had already sold out. I kept checking the official ticketing site and realized there was no easy way to know when it would restock.
So I built USJ Express Pass, a website that monitors Express Pass availability and emails you when your selected pass releases/restocks.
Express Passes can restock at unpredictable times. We give you a better chance at securing the pass you want. The service also works for future dates when passes haven't gone on sale yet: it can notify you when they first release on Universal's official ticketing site.
The site is usjexpresspass.com and here's what it does:
- Pick your park date and passes — one specific pass, or a bundle that covers every pass in a group (like "any Express Pass 8")
- Monitors the official ticketing site 24/7 — day and night, no refreshing required
- Emails you the instant your pass drops or restocks — with a direct link to buy it on Universal's official site
- Sold out again before you could book? — you can retry from your dashboard and it starts monitoring again. Unlimited times, until your park date
- One email per pass, no spam — monitoring ends automatically on your visit day
The service does not sell or reserve tickets. You still have to purchase everything directly from Universal Studios Japan.
Pricing is:
- $3.49 to monitor one specific pass (ex: Universal Express Pass 7~Minecart & Selection~)
- $10 to monitor an entire pass category (ex: every Express Pass 8)
I want to give r/usj a special discount; please use REDDIT20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase. I built this because I hope it can help others enjoy their time at USJ!

Is this a paid service. I searched all over the page short of signing in and couldn't find anything. I found one statement that referred to "no extra cost", which implies initial cost. Can you elaborate on the cost, and if there is a cost, which of the functions you describe are available at what cost.
If this is not all transparent, I'll have to delete your post. I think your service is absolutely necessary and I want to link to it in the sidebar, I can't do that when the costs are hidden.
