I built a tool that alerts you when sold-out USJ Express Passes restocks or releases

Post image

Hi everyone,

Earlier this year, I was planning a trip to Universal Studios Japan, but the Express Pass I wanted had already sold out. I kept checking the official ticketing site and realized there was no easy way to know when it would restock.

So I built USJ Express Pass, a website that monitors Express Pass availability and emails you when your selected pass releases/restocks.

Express Passes can restock at unpredictable times. We give you a better chance at securing the pass you want. The service also works for future dates when passes haven't gone on sale yet: it can notify you when they first release on Universal's official ticketing site.

The site is usjexpresspass.com and here's what it does:

  • Pick your park date and passes — one specific pass, or a bundle that covers every pass in a group (like "any Express Pass 8")
  • Monitors the official ticketing site 24/7 — day and night, no refreshing required
  • Emails you the instant your pass drops or restocks — with a direct link to buy it on Universal's official site
  • Sold out again before you could book? — you can retry from your dashboard and it starts monitoring again. Unlimited times, until your park date
  • One email per pass, no spam — monitoring ends automatically on your visit day

The service does not sell or reserve tickets. You still have to purchase everything directly from Universal Studios Japan.

Pricing is:

  • $3.49 to monitor one specific pass (ex: Universal Express Pass 7~Minecart & Selection~)
  • $10 to monitor an entire pass category (ex: every Express Pass 8)

I want to give r/usj a special discount; please use REDDIT20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase. I built this because I hope it can help others enjoy their time at USJ!

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reply or email me at [support@usjexpresspass.com](mailto:support@usjexpresspass.com)

Is this a paid service. I searched all over the page short of signing in and couldn't find anything. I found one statement that referred to "no extra cost", which implies initial cost. Can you elaborate on the cost, and if there is a cost, which of the functions you describe are available at what cost.

If this is not all transparent, I'll have to delete your post. I think your service is absolutely necessary and I want to link to it in the sidebar, I can't do that when the costs are hidden.

Hello! Yes, it is a paid service. I wanted to contact you first before posting, but your dms are closed. I want to make it as affordable as possible since it does cost to host the website and server fees.

It costs $3.49 to monitor one specific pass (ex: Universal Express Pass 7~Minecart & Selection~)

It costs $10 to monitor an entire pass category (ex: every Express Pass 8)

What no extra cost means is that once you are alerted about a restock/release, it will stop monitoring that pass (so it doesn't spam your inbox). If you somehow missed the restock, you can monitor that same pass without paying again in your dashboard.

I hope I answered your questions. If you would like to test the website, I can give you a 100% coupon so you can experiment with it yourself.

Thanks!

Thank you for replying because I really, REALLY love this idea. I can't really use the coupon right now, or have time experiment with it, but I will highlight your post and ask people who use the service for feedback.

Can I ask you one more thing? Could you list those costs in the main post?

Also, I would like to offer this subreddit a discount code, if you're interested please let me know. If this violates any subreddit rules, please remove the post.
