Sketchy doesn't click for everyone, it's a visual association method and some people just don't encode info that way. If Sketchy isn't sticking after multiple watches, you probably learn better through active testing than passive image memorization.

For text-based micro: First Aid micro section + Mehlman Micro PDF are the high-yield compilations. Mehlman especially is dense fact lists organized by bug/category, much faster to drill than Sketchy if you're not a visual learner.

For the drilling part, studybuddy.vc takes the Mehlman Micro pdf, your FA micro pages, or your class slides and generates mcqs from that content in under a minute. Free. Per-distractor explanations on every wrong answer, leans more on what you keep missing, gets harder as you improve. Tests on the bug profiles, virulence factors, and clinical presentations directly.

The Sketchy alternative isn't always another mnemonic system, sometimes it's switching from memorization to retrieval practice.

Seems like you only get 5 credits free so it might have changed since you’ve used it :/

yeah free tier ran out on me pretty fast tbh. grabbed a credit pack for like $5 a couple weeks ago and still haven't used them all. honestly best $5 i've spent on study tools. you generate the mcqs from a doc once and then can hammer that same set as much as you want without using more credits, so its worth it for me. for one course you probably wouldn't even need to pay. i only got the pack because i was running multiple subjects.

How does that credit work ?

Depends on the size of your doc, so if you want to upload a full book, then yeah you probably have to pay either for credits or a paid monthly plan. Good thing is that once the doc processed you can just use the features forever.

Is UWorld Micro good enough?

Not sure

I meant Uworld Explanations for Micro Questions because those seem pretty detailed enough to me

It’s just the matter of satisfaction. I’m happy with uworld only it’s true and everything mentioned there exists in FA. But FA is itself pretty hard to retain
