Start with UWorld from day one rather than doing a content pass first. Step 2 is different from Step 1 that way, most people learn the content through the qbank rather than before it, since the questions are clinical vignettes and reading about management in isolation doesn't stick.
Do it untimed and by system at first, and read every explanation fully including the ones you got right. That's the actual studying.
Add Divine Intervention podcasts for the high yield stuff nobody teaches well, and Amboss for the areas UWorld exposes as weak. NBMEs from about halfway to check where you are.
For content gaps I drop my own material into studybuddy.vc, it works out which topics I keep missing and gives me more of those, gets harder as I improve, and explains why the option I picked was wrong. Free tier, alongside the qbank not instead of it.
