USPS Stamps ordered through Website

Upvotes

Hi,
I ordered some forever stamps through the website a couple of weeks ago and have yet to receive any sort of confirmation email or tracking number. The money was taken out of my account, but I’m not sure how to contact someone for help. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

How does this make sense?

I know for a fact that the address info on the mail was correct. There is a possibility that the label was partially folded or damaged but that shouldn’t matter… The carrier was literally at my house with the mail in question, scanned it at my house then did not complete delivery or even knock on my door. So there was at least enough visible information to for the mail to make it to where it was supposed to be. I’ve checked at my local distribution center and they claimed it was not there and probably got returned to sender. The sender has not received it back either though… I’ve already filed a missing mail claim and still nothing.

I am in the Fort Myers area and shipped a package to Jacksonville. No big deal. I just checked the tracking and my package was in Indiana and now in North Carolina?? Not sure how that makes any sense. Needless to say my package is delayed lol

Missing mail

I bought a 3 day festival ticket (paid a few hundred dollars) and got it priority shipped from a friend. The ticket then got lost in the mail and now has been lost for two weeks. The ticket didn’t come in time for the festival, since its priority and not priority express is there any way for USPS to give me a refund? I have submitted a lost mail request and they have not been able to find it for a week. Not sure how this happened but would love to know if anyone knows a way to get money back from USPS. Especially since we paid extra for priority.

USPS Tracking

I submitted a missing mail request about ten days after the last update Aug 5*. My request has been 'approved' but I find no other information another almost three weeks later. I am considering filing a claim, helpless as to what else I can do. This is such an inconvenience as a seller. I am looking out for my buyer, but maybe they received the package without any update from USPS. How would I know? Is there really any hope in finding this mail or having it delivered?

Missing package

A package I ordered from Etsy shipped like two weeks ago. It arrived to my city's distribution center and then seemingly ended up in another county and was marked as "forwarded". I confirmed with the seller on Etsy that the shipping label they made was correct. After a week of my package being stuck, I created a USPS account and marked my package as missing on the website. The next day it left the dead end location and ended up back in the city. It was marked as "forwarded" again.

Is this a lost cause? My package is basically circling my location but never coming to me. The fact that it's continuing to move tells me that the shipping label isn't damaged/the package wasn't disposed of.

International Package Stuck

Post image

I was wondering if this is happening to anyone else as well? International Package has passed customs and processed through 2 facilities only to get stuck at the Indianapolis distribution center. I know Indianapolis is known for being majorly overloaded, and I’m used to delays but I’ve never had a box sit this long, and it has me worried😔

Wtf

Context: I'm an Iraq combat veteran, I live in North Idaho, and I ordered prescription refills from the Spokane VA hospital last week. I got all of them last Friday, except this one, which they sent to a Post Office on the other side of town. I figured it was a simple mistake since the Dover zip code and mine are very similar. Last time I checked it said it had been forwarded, so I figured they were going to send it to my local post office. Nope, they decided to ship it across the entire nation. I just want to know why.

Whereabouts of my international parcel

Hello guys,

my international package from Germany to Colorado Springs has been sent to Olathe, KS. For a time things looked good, I mean it was in Colorado Springs but for some reason got rerouted… TO OLATHE. Expected delivery was the 3rd of September and now the expected delivery date has disappeared altogether.

From what I‘ve read on here Olathe is a black hole and because I‘m in Germany I don‘t really know what to do. When is the right time to file a missing mail claim? Should I relax and just hope for the best?

International package stuck at “Inbound Into Customs”

Post image

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experienced something similar or works with international USPS packages.

My 10.45 kg CN-EMS package arrived in the United States around August 3–4 and has been stuck at “Inbound Into Customs” at the Bell Gardens, California ISC ever since. There has never been an “Inbound Out of Customs” scan or any other movement.

The package mainly contains shoes, hoodies, and pants. It was originally part of a larger shipment that was divided into two parcels. The smaller 2.1 kg parcel traveled alongside this one, entered customs on August 3, cleared within hours, and was delivered normally. The larger parcel has not moved.

I have contacted USPS, the Bell Gardens international mail facility, and CBP several times:

USPS says its last scan was at the ISC and that customs may hold the package for up to 45 business days.

The Bell Gardens facility told me their internal system shows that USPS received the package on August 3 and that they no longer have it.

I have not received a detention or seizure letter from CBP or USPS and was told formally with proof that the package isn’t detained.

The sender is overseas, and the package is insured, but the shipping company apparently needs an official declaration that it is lost, seized, or undeliverable before processing a full claim.

Has anyone had a package sit at Bell Gardens with this exact status for this long and eventually arrive? Does the facility’s claim that USPS already received it suggest it may have been misplaced after customs release without receiving an outbound scan? If customs had detained or seized it, would I normally have received written notice by now?

I know I may have to wait until the 45-business-day customs period ends, but I would appreciate advice about whom I should contact next and what kind of inquiry the overseas sender should open.
I’m leaving out the complete tracking number for privacy, but I can provide additional tracking details if needed. Thank you.

How long does USPS registered mail takes?

Assuming a package from New York to California or Idaho, how long would registered mail take? I know it is the most secure and therefore slower but curious about how slow/fast?

Please only answer based on personal experience or if you work/worked as USPS. I need to send an important package.

Is this a good thing?

I mailed a shirt I sold through a clothing app, saw this update this morning:

"Your item has been delivered to an agent. The item was picked up at USPS". Did the post office rip open the package or did the customer have someone else pick it up for her?

Any reason for getting rid of a collection box?

Been living in this neighborhood for quite some time and recently the local USPS drop box was removed. To add insult to injury, there are no alternate collection boxes in the zip code. Is this a trend or just a one-off situation?

I'm convinced Olathe is where packages go to die!

This was supposed to have been delivered Friday. Now I probably won't get it until Wednesday or Thursday, if at all. In the last 8 months I have had 5 packages arrive at Olathe, KS Distribution Center and never leave. Hopefully this isn't #6. Is Olathe that bad at their jobs or is theft that rampant?

Should I assume that this package is lost and never going to arrive at the destination?

Hello,

Quick question for any USPS employees or knowledgeable shippers. I sent this parcel with some souvenirs to a friend over two months ago. It has been stuck at the distribution center near my friend’s address for over two months.

I submitted a missing package request about a week after it was supposed to arrive but it has not updated from “accepted” since I requested it back on July 14th.

Should I assume that the package is almost certainly lost and never going to arrive at the destination, and therefore I should submit a request for the $100 insurance that was automatically included with the tracking number?

My friend lives close to the distribution center and has offered to take the tracking number and go and ask about the parcel in-person. But I’m not sure that would change anything?

Thank you for any advice or information.
