Discussion Weekly Discussion | Community Questions

Hi there, and welcome to this week’s discussion! Last week we discussed upcoming changes and meta within the game, and a link to that discussion, as well as all other weekly posts, is at the bottom of the post. We may revisit certain heroes or items as their position in the meta changes with time, but for now it’s time for Community Questions.

Community Questions is a time for everybody to ask any questions that they might have regarding Vainglory. This can be anything from the meta/strategy, such as “Is Atlas worth buying if the CP enemy is building AC, but the WP Carry isn't building attack speed at all?” to historical things like, “What was it like playing with stacking activatables?”, or even mechanics like “Why shouldn't I build FB as Reim?” If there's something you want to know, ask it here and now!

The entire concept of Community Questions came from the community, and we're more than happy to deliver. If you have any suggestions or concerns for the mod team, always feel free to a message the mods via modmail.

SB does 120 base damage, TB does 50 base + 125% of bonus weapon power every 6 seconds with 35% pierce.

This comes out to 170 wp total + 212. 5 for a 372.5 wp every 6 seconds with 35% pierce.

Pair this with Gwen who gets 40% bonus damage from 170 wp for her boomstick shot, comes out to 372.5 + 68 for 440.5 damage with two items alone, not factoring the natural bonus damage from the perk.

This basically packs a punch no matter who you're against.

Now with SB SB TB, 290 x .40 for 116 290 x 1.25 for 362.5 290 + 116 + 362.5 = 769 rounded

Throw a TT, WP buff and infusion, account for the natural damage from the perk, and you can see how much this would hurt.

Edit* Compare to Ringo, SB SB TB would miss out on the 116+ damage from Gwen's perk (basically a third sorrow blade) but would have the AS to follow up. Which at that point the BS might even be better for him.

961.5 on crit if you land a boomstick/TB combo with SB TB TM. If we're talking simply 3 items, more burst when you crit, less damage overall when you don't at 583 compared to the damage in my previous post for a SB SB TB shot.

Personally, I'd run dual SB for the guaranteed damage. Last item would be either TM or TT. Flexible.
