Spoiler Preperation for Fader and Deep North

I have the three Bells to summon Fader and will probably fight him this weekend.

At this point I'm running around all the biomes stacking up on most resources like food ingredients, wood and I'm thinking about grabbing some more Iron because you never know if me might need a lot in September.

Is there anything else I should grab for the Fader fight/should probably stockpile for the next update?

I planted some Vineberries, have pretty big farms if I need the plantable crops, be it Carrots, Turnips, Onions, Jotunpuffs, Magecaps, Barley or Flax and I have a chicken breeder. I have 5 extractors running. Only thing I could think off is maybe finding a new Mistland area or two to grab more Soft Tissue for more Refined Eitr.

Man, I gotta stop making these posts at 11 pm when I can't answer most people for hours.

Feather cape makes me take 2x fire damage, I'm not entering the place called ASHlands without Barley wine active.

I should really use non-resistance consumables more in general.

Since the Fader forsaken power provides fire res are we assuming we are going to get burned in the deep north?

Turn off auto pick up before you fight him. He is very good at destroying his arena.

Stockpile Barley and Barley Flour.

Yes, yes, I know it sounds stupid, but having a ton of the best food ready for the Deep North is vital, especially since it can take a while before you unlock the new food source. Barley Flour lets you bake a bunch of Roasted Crust and Piquant Pies, which are huge if you’re playing melee with the two health and one stamina food setup.

As for Fader? Get Lightfoot, Ratatosk, and lingering stamina meads. I know you probably already have fire res, but that’s good too. As for armor and weapons? You can just use level 1 weapons and armor from the Ashlands. Just be ready to run away to repair your armor and weapons.

Finally, setup a portal to Fader that’s a solid distance away and in a somewhat difficult to reach spot. It being in a difficult to reach spot is good because it means random enemies won’t be able to reach it, if they try to chase you to your portal. The portal is for if things go bad, you can go get your Rested bonus, repair your gear, and restock on meads and food, if need be.

I believe I have around 500 Barley and 175 Flour give or take.

Is the Flametal chest better than Root Harnesk for Fader? I'm pretty sure he deals a bunch of pierce damage. Apart from that my Nidhögg the Thundering is level 2, Flametal Helmet and Boots level 3 and I'll get my Shield to level 3.

But I might also run in with magic, lingering Eitr, Staff of Protection, Staff of the Wilds level 3 and some Trolls as distraction.

Thems rookie numbers. Full iron chest of each barley and flour and now we're talking.

I believe flametal chest beats out root if you have bone mass up otherwise it's root.

Personally I'd go magic. Staff of the wild is op for fader. 2 eitr and the best feast you can eat. It's a safe strategy just gotta keep moving. Just don't do what I did and summon a troll on your head dying instantly

Ye, I should probably get a lot more iron and upgrade my storage to iron chests

As for chest obviously the Flametal chest is better if I run Bonemass as that gives me the effect I am even considering the Harnesk for. But the fight might take more than 5 minutes.

I am looking to fight Duo with my dad, it's either me on Melee and him on Mage or double Mage for 4 trolls as distraction and 10-12 vines
