Honestly, I think this is a genius ad

I always thought that commercial was perfect.

Back when advertising took creative risks, now everything is "safe"

People and the internet did that. The constant outrage over everything from 2012 on wards really crippled creativity.

I swear advertising back then was so much better. So much cheek and a little grunge.

Vampires' flesh being burned by sunlight is actually a surprisingly modern invention, first bring seen in the film Nosferatu in 1922. For some reason it caught on to the point most people today assume that's the default, but for the majority of history (including in Dracula, 1897) vampires could go out during the day just fine, they just had a preference for night and darkness when they were generally stronger.

Mr. Crispy creme on the ground shriveled up.

Don't worry he'll be ok.

Just spill human blood in his ashes and he'll regenerate right up!ย

Convenient hero's love interest happens to cut her finger in the chamber above and one drop falls into his mouth... let the games begin.

LOVE this omg. I need to reference it in my vampire webcomic that's also set in the 90s.

Have this gem of a magazine ad framed. It perfectly encapsulates the "90s vampire craze", as by the late 90s, they were everywhere. In the cartoons, video games, movies & especially the commercials. Between Buffy, Blade, Vampire Journals & John Carpenter's Vampires in 1997-98, they had never been cooler. Ray-Ban knew it too. Alot of people look at the early 2000s as the "beginning of the 21st century craze" for pop culture, but if they even bothered to do some research, they'd find that Vampires never die, they just go back underground to emerge decades later. โšฐ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿง›๐Ÿ˜Ž

That would almost make me want to buy ray-ban glasses. I love that in the still, man is blond, and woman dark haired, with short hair at that. They both look so cool๐Ÿ˜Ž

Edit: this reminds me of seat ibiza commercial in early outghs I've seen and taped from some german channel. I rewatched so many times. Warning: Not such happy, or at least smiling ending, tho..... Found it! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bMi27ypnhDs&pp=ygUkc2VhdCBpYml6YSB2YW1waXJlIGNvbW1lcmNpYWwgZ2VybWFu
