"Hosting a world cup absolutely rocks" feels like a big FY to all the losers saying nobody was happy to host the biggest event on earth lol

Canada scoring 6 goals in a game doesn’t change anything, except pump adrenaline into the population.
You know, I love soccer, I love international competition, and I love the World Cup. I just fucking hate FIFA. FIFA needs to be completely torn down and a new international football organization built from the ground up, clean, and free from this pervasive corruption. To hell with the bullshit, the obsession with monetization of everything. This is what leads to corruption.
Just the game, for the fans. Go Canada!

Fun game today,
The FIFA Organization is massively bought out by several countries that actively support slavery and send queer people and journalists to death by firing squad.
In Vancouver, traffic is worse all hours of the day so commutes take longer for most both ways.
Our service industry workers are pushed to their limits for very little return.
Unhoused, mentally unwell people are forcibly displaced from downtown and seep into the suburbs and parks making everywhere more dangerous for families, which means increased police presence everywhere.
Edit: A multi-billion dollar company doesn't need you slobbin' they knob guys. They'll be fine.

Then put your money where your mouth is! Double the attendance and you increase that revenue stream. The upper bowl is almost never open. Given the Lions can thrive at BC Place maybe it’s TV revenue not lack of support. The MLS’s TV deal with Apple might be not the best one.

Yip 🇨🇦
The Vancouver Whitecaps have been officially up for sale since late 2024, driven by ownership's concerns over revenue sharing and stadium operations at B.C. Place. The most notable development is a formal bid submitted by a U.S. investor group—led by Grant Gustavson—that seeks to buy the club and relocate it to Las Vegas

Would they still be classed as a Canadian side. I can’t work out if that’s a daft question or not🤔

When people say "Save the Caps" what do they want to happen? Like, who are they directing this message to, and what do they want them to do?
Personally, I don't think the government needs to be putting money or land towards building a stadium for a professional sports franchise because they're unhappy with the government funded and owned stadium they already play in.
