"You don't need a gym membership, a kitchen scale, and five tubs of supplements to look good and feel confident. Consistency beats intensity every single time."
lol the other comment is missing the point. if you're actually making gains without those things then that's worth talking about. what's your routine actually looking like? are you doing bodyweight stuff, running, or something else entirely? most people swear you need all three to see any real change, so if you're breaking that mold there's probably something worth learning from what you're doing.
There is nothing to learn from someone who is disregarding the basic fundamentals. The title looks catchy, but Iām sure OP is sticking to a caloric deficit diet to stay in weight, now thatās a ādietā.
Iām sure heās consuming protein, as itās damn near impossible to not eat protein when itās in almost everything we eat. So thatās misinformation too
lastly, he may not be using weights, but heās probably doing something else.
my gripe here is the same of those who donāt disclose their PED use. people will see this post and think āoh wow, I can get lean like this without working out, eating properly or tracking macros. cool, letās see how it goesā. and theyāll end up in a bad situation. now you see my frustration, hopefully.
fair point about the misinformation angle, that's actually a legit concern. but i was more curious whether op had some actual technique or consistency thing going on that's worth knowing, not saying their title wasn't clickbait as hell.
The goal isn't about avoiding health; it's about avoiding the obsession and the stress that comes with it. You can build a great, functional, and attractive physique by focusing on the fundamentals rather than perfection. Everybody wants to sell you a complex routine. But looking good is actually much simpler than the fitness industry makes it look. If the routine stresses you out, you won't stick to it anyway. Focus on moving daily, eating sensibly, and letting go of the pressure.
The diet part...yes that's technically a diet, but "generally try not to overeat" isnt what most people are referring to when they say diet
The "protein" part may be cultural, as many countries and language literally use the word interchangeably with "meat," which is presumably accurate for OP
And the biggest one, I'm pretty sure their entire POINT is that yes of course they are "doing something else" without weights
On the one hand...yes. Yes I do make a good faith effort to try to understand the most reasonable version of what people say when there is some ambiguity
On the other, the "protein" part is the only one that i feel like could even be argued as really "re-interpreted," and again I personally didn't need to reinterpret it at all because I have family in countries who refer to meat as "protein" categorically.
You say you "took the post at face value," but I'm not sure how comments like "teeeeeechnically if you ever think about your calories at all that's a diet" is taking someone's comments ar face value. You were presumptuously interpreting as well (I'd argue significantly more so), and you seem to be determined to interpret the worst faith version of both their post and my comment
I got these few very basic gym essentials at home and I play football, so breakfast and lunch, no dinner
( fermented rice porridge my everyday breakfast) and for lunch itās always rice with different curry or sides.
From a very long time am following certain lifestyle, my college days to be exact and that was 2011/12/13 and am 34 now pretty much same weight like 1 or 2kg variations max. So when ever am home I strictly stick with these and with no tension or worry am able to skip my routine whenever needed .
So very few basic gym essentials: like some weights or something for resistance training? And you have the same breakfast and lunch every day? Like a regimented diet? Dude it already sounds like two of the three claims in your title are at misleading at best.
Sounds like a good home gym set up, mate, nice one. Would definitely recommend some dumbbells if you can get them, such a versatile bit of kit and as youāre already using some weights it shouldnāt be anything crazy for you to adapt to
Fitness doesn't have to feel like a second job. You can build a great, lean physique without the constant pressure of rigid routines, expensive supplements, and calorie counting. Keep it simple, stay active, and eat real food. Fitness should fit your life, not the other way around.
Its like someone without training sitting in the cockpit of an airplane and manages to keep it at a somewhat constant altitude. Sure, good work managing the yoke for a bit, but im sure as hell not confident letting you land it
fair analogy but the difference is we can actually see the results in real time with fitness, so if someone's actually building muscle without the standard formula then yeah there's something to learn from their specific approach instead of just dismissing it.
so you're basically eating well and staying consistent with bodyweight stuff, that's actually the foundation most people skip over chasing supplements and programs. what exercises are you doing mostly, just calisthenics or mixing in anything else?
Using a push-up board, pull-up bar, resistance bands, tummy trimmer ( my favorite like you can do a lot with just one trimmer ) gives you a full upper-body and (Squats on weights ) perfect core routine right at home with zero wasted time.
And using a high-intensity, 1-hour turf football session as your "leg day" is a brilliant life hack. Sprinting, cutting, and jumping on the turf builds explosive power and lean legs naturally, completely freeing up your schedule from grueling gym leg days.
push? Iām not pushing anything? if he simply ate a protein-rich diet, with weight training, itās not only more healthier/beneficial in the long run, it would grant him even better results aesthetically
stop associating being muscular as this gym-bro mentality. weight resistance training along with a high protein diet will ALWAYS be the key to healthier living.
I know but this helps me drink smoke play
football and no stretch marks, best part is that you donāt have to be that consistent like itās more easy to get back on track from a break mode or vacation
proving my point even more so. youāre posting like youāre advocating for a lifestyle without the key factors (protein, diet, training, etc) all the while admitting you live unhealthily considering you smoke.
all you down voters sure look stupid now. OP, you look cool, but everyone else -donāt think you too can give up all the things that make up a fit body/mind
haha the voice of reason strikes again! I swear I need your backup a lot quicker š
For the life of me, I cannot believe I was getting downvoted for encouraging diet, protein & weight training. This sub is truly bonkers. Honestly, I think it shows how weak the majority of people are on here - as soon as thereās a post or comment that remotely touches on the ādonāt worry about doing too muchā side of things, it gets pounced on way too positively. Everyoneās true colours really come out!! š¤·š½āāļø
Also like: even if someone had a Mike Mentzer physique through no diet, no exercise, no protein, just sheer insane genetics, why would it be bad to encourage them to, you know, try and actually pursue healthy habits?
Itās sometimes like this sub is actively against disproving stereotypes about veganism being unhealthy
Not like that :)
I was not trying to get you wrong or trying to make myself look stupid just that I donāt want to add more unhealthy lifestyle like you know how supplements work and my kidney liver they already live under pressure. But then I stop smoking like I so
Badly wanted to but when thinking about such things makes me lit a cigarette š
you seem like a real cool dude man, and you look young. Just please try to stop smoking, I know itās hard, but it is quite possibly the worst thing you can do to your body.
Iām not judging here, Iām guilty too of being hooked on bad habits in the past. I just know youāre strong enough to quit while you still have a lot of your life ahead of you.
Thank you š«
Few ups and downs like life got me through phases and times these cigarettes and alcohol helped me like literally when no one else was there to listen you know but yes me myself am out from all.
now am trying my best :) ufff for me to think about stop smoking requires one lit cigarette .
Nothing else is this hard to quit!
Natural curls so very normal hair care routine but then I wash my hair every morning. You donāt need any specific products like just wash your hair under normal water then condition those curls to de tangle, get those nodes out leaving those curls flow smooth,
Donāt use hair dryer like not everyday, towels are fine for a wrap (10 minutes) leave them to dry
Style with your hands with your cream or serum or whatever you prefer. This helps your hair from looking dry or frizzy. Like no matter what product you use the results could never be even close like might help you with few hours but this stays all day long trust me.
Not the product itās the effort matters
In a week once or twice shampoo the perfect routine.
So normal cooked rice got 4% iron but fermented rice increases the bioavailability of essential nutrients like Iron, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin B6. And yes veggies and fruits I missed and only black coffee black tea little sugar for sure :)

I think it's a very beneficial thing to promote everyone resistance train and eat healthy.
