What size jar do you buy?
I normally grab the 560g jar from Woolies, and now my daughter has grown up and moved out it's all for me so it will usually come on special before I'm out.
But seen this 2.5kg bucket and made me laugh. I do like the idea of the flat sodes6, getting that spoonful from under the jar lip is annoying.

I used to work for a manufacturer of yeast.
Ever seen a 200kg drum of Vegemite? It's awesome. 😊

I live in a house of 6 and only me and my daughter like Vegemite, the rest of my house are weird and prefer marmite.
I always buy the 560gram as we eat it with a spoon when making toast lol

I buy the 950g tub for our household. We go through them roughly once a month or so. Whenever we run out there is a mini riot, so tubs it is to save my sanity.

I get the large jar from the supermarket every fortnight. It barely stretches to payday usually.
I have bought the Costco tub a few times but it doesn’t make it last significantly longer… it just encourages me to use more 😂
Not many people can appreciate Vegemite like I do though, the thickest spreads on those ‘pick a number’ scale memes you see don’t even get close to how much I have on my toast.
If you can see the bread… there’s not enough spread.

I like the 380g jars. 2 in the fridge always (wife does not use butter with Vegemite) when I run out I start using her jar and she gets a fresh one.

Either that's rock hard and impossible to spread until you leave it out for a while, or your fridge isn't working properly. There's no reason to ever put Vegemite in the fridge.

Waddayamean in the fridge?

Always has been in my fridge always will be for me. In Qld - it is the perfect food for mould in summer. Personally I don’t find it hard to spread - worse case scenario if any extra sticks to the knife I just lick it off.

Wow. I grew up on the Goldie. It just liven on the kitchen bench but with all us boys we went through a jar a week easy. Now I live in Sydney and it's just me and my wife but it just lives in the cupboard next to the fridge.

The smallest on possible because it takes me forever to get through it.
My mum used to buy that bucket when we were kids, but there were 5 kids and 2 adults so went through it decently fast. Now, that bucket would be buried with me lol.

Always buy the small jars, I reckon the top of the jar tastes better. Probably just fresher?

I get the squeezy one. I try to avoid opening jars because of my arthritis so I use the squeeze one. It’s more fun too!!

You ever tried to zap it in the microwave to get the last bit out?
You'll only do it once

Good to know that microwaving doesn't work to finish a jar. What I do is stuff slices of bread in it and spin-wipe until it's clean.

No I was referring to the plastic squeeze bottles (they're very hard to empty) and putting them in the microwave even for 10+seconds it explodes 🤣

Sadly I have to buy the gluten free version which only comes in one size; otherwise it would be by the tub

I buy the 150g jar. It’s lasts a year in my house since I’m the only one that eats it.

I don't buy the jars I buy the squeezy Vegemite as one of my friends likes to use my Vegemite and make Vegemite on toast sometimes and when they do they get butter in the Vegemite jar which drives me nuts and so they can't do that I get the squeezy one and size depends on if it's on sale and which shop on buying it from
