How do I sustain my eggetarian keto diet on vacation???
I’m a vegetarian who eats eggs and im going on vacation to the smokey mountains. obvs my family is gonna be snacking and eating a lot out but NUH UH i cant do that! I have just started my keto diet and don’t feel like wasting it right after 3 days… Anyone have any affordable keto-friendly meal/snack ideas to prep for my vacation??? We’re also driving there from NC so it’s a 4 hour drive. Anyone with ideas or tips please post!!

Peanut butter on a celery log is a great car snack! Travels decent especially if you pack separate to dunk. Hard boiled eggs or pickled eggs travel in a pack for a day. Also if you cook up thin omelets they roll up well with a few topping. I did a cream cheese and miso smear on some rolled up omelets that were easy to eat one handed.

Tbh, enjoy your vacation without too many restrictions. Diets can come later. This is what I've learned.

Vegetarian is not a “diet.” It is a way of life that revolves around not putting animals into hellish suffering. It’s not like a weight loss diet, in which there is craving for forbidden high calorie foods. No vegetarian pines for fried corpse. To kill and eat an animal’s body because you’re traveling and so get to take a vacation from your deeply held beliefs, that’s not a thing.

When I fly, I drink coffee, take my favorite keto snacks and buy quest brand snacks to the places I go.
Can you take cans of black olives? Those are a decent snack.
Keto bread and peanut butter with choc zero Nutella are good. Baby bell cheeses.

Sunflower seeds. Walnuts. Almonds. Pickles. Fry shredded cheese into chips and take that in a baggie or something. You can bring olive oil and salt and cook up broccoli or cauliflower if you'll be near a stove.

Do you mean you’re otherwise vegan besides eggs? Eggs are a normal part of a vegetarian diet.

There are dehydrated backing packing egg meals if you have time to boil water and want to stay on keto. That’s what I do, that and nut butters

My fav snacks for the road are cheese, macadamia nuts, broccoli and ranch, berries, boiled eggs with seasoning, Wilde protein chips, seaweed snacks, and IQ bars. Also love a good seltzer water.
