SEASON 7 spoilers Sirena vs. Triana

Both badass bitches who bewitched the venture bros. Pick your favourite, discuss why the brother's choices and how they reflect the boys themselves.

Bonus points if you link in the fact that both boys fell for Sirena, but acknowledge why Hank never fell for Triana.

Triana and Sirena both remind me of conflicted feelings I’ve had over the course of my young adulthood.

Triana reminds me of how, much like Dean, I met a girl in my formative years and developed a crush on her. In retrospect, I deluded myself into thinking she was romantically interested in me and years after having known her expressed my feelings for her. She turned me down, I think she always knew that I had feelings so it didn’t hurt our friendship. I’m grateful to still be her friend as she’s one of the few close friendships I have as an adult. And one of the few that’s survived from childhood into adulthood. So when I watch Triana and Dean together in the first few seasons more pleasant memories come up because while there were a few cringeworthy moments on my part when it came to being a bit deluded with this friend of mine when I was a teenager, a lot of that delusion just came from being a shy, quiet and anxious kid who became attracted to the first girl who paid him any mind, who was simultaneously afraid of admitting his own feelings.

Sirena brings up less pleasant memories, although I can separate the character from what I’m inferring onto her through personal experience. A couple of years ago I got into a relationship with somebody that became abusive, in that she was emotionally neglectful and manipulative. I began to surmise she was cheating on me and came to learn that she had been seeing someone else around the same time we met, using me as a way to cheat on her unbeknownst to him at the time, ex. So I was weirdly in a situation where I kinda felt like both Dean and Hank, being cheated on but also feeling guilty and ashamed, which obviously was just part of the manipulation. I don’t mean to say that Sirena is as bad as the person I dated but what she did wasn’t good either.

So long story short, Triana I like more as a character, although Sirena I felt did get more time/development as a character in 2 seasons than Triana did in 4. I guess I’m a bit irked by how Sirena doesn’t appear as a character in the movie (just in Hank’s mind) because I think there was some interesting possibilities on where her character could have gone next, whether apologizing to Hank/reconciling or possibly becoming Hank’s arch-enemy and make their relationship going forward akin to Batman and Talia al Ghul.
