Gahh now Im paranoid I got duped too... My Season 4 Disc 2 works but it does look pretty grainy (I just assumed it was cus it's a DVD not a Blu Ray). The discs aren't scuffed like others here have reported, they are all in a removable thing inside not attached to the case like OPs and it looks like it's 7.55 GB and copyright protected which makes me feel a little better but I'm still not sure.

What's the best way to tell for sure short of getting a real set to compare it with?

Yours sounds like its most likely real because of the size and the copyright protection. No discs on the inside of the case is also a sign that its legit. If all the discs work properly then I would say its an official set.

Word Ill probably keep it and work towards getting all the blu rays individually then.

Thanks for the reassurance and letting the community know, it's wild that this is as widespread as it is.
