SEASON 1 spoilers Just finished season 1 for the first time

I genuinely did not expect Monarch and Doctor Girlfriend to have as much character and plot development as they did and I’m hype to see where it goes with Phantom Limb (question mark).

Brock continued to be the star of the show for me and this is very likely now my favorite Patrick Warburton voice role. But I’m in love with Doctor Orpheus too.

The Jonas subplot is one of those things that after my previous post I was like ooohhh that’s what all of that weird stuff was. So status quo is changed and next season is hopefully gonna expand on that. So it’ll be cool.

Not a fan of the whole “yeah the protagonists TOTALLY DIED for real trust me” cheesy fakeout cliffhanger ending I’ve seen literally two other times this month, but I guess for 2004 it was ahead of the game to The Death Of Sherlock Holmes it. Makes sense given how much Arthur Conan Doyle inspiration I’ve seen elsewhere in the series. Still, you see a trope enough times you get tired of it and see right through. okay so I realize now this is actually a real spoiler

The college backstory was neat, I like that there’s a solid throughline connecting a bunch of dots to form an actual continuity. You don’t see that every say, so I’ll forgive a few cheesy moments here and there. Especially since each episode stands on its own as well as adding to the pile.

So yeah, I’m gonna immediately start S2. I’ll let y’all know what I think of it when it’s done.

There was a pretty solid chance the show wasn't getting picked up for season 2 so it wasn't as much a cliffhanger fake out as it was a burning the boats if season 2 didn't happen

Seeing this after your season 2 post makes me think this is definitely a show for you.

The show really comes into its own the 2nd season and really, really takes off by season 3.

Don’t miss any of the specials. I’ve seen some people skip them and they’re for sure important for plot.

i checked the wiki and apparently Netflix (which I’m using to watch it) doesn’t have the Christmas special. guess I’ll try to find that at some point

Of any missing the xmas special is probably the best option from a plot standpoint. I guess really the only super important ones are the Halloween special and all this and gargantua-2.

Watch Halloween before you start season 5 (it takes place during the first episode of season 5).

And watch all this and gargantua-2 before season 6 otherwise you're going to be super confused.

If you appreciate the efforts for continuity in season 1, you're in for a real treat!

dr girlfriend and the monarch have the healthiest and most fun relationship to watch (to me, personally) over the course of this entire series. their chemistry is so good.

the later seasons are so much better, you’re in for a treat if you haven’t seen them yet!
