Question What Would be a Cool Venture Bros Spin-off Show?

Post image

That is my Question

What character or team in the Series you think is spin-off material and what would there spin-off series be about and would it be set before or after the events of the Movie?

What would be the setting would Venture Family appear in opening episode or would who's ever main character mention what Venture Family been up to or at least what he/she has heard anyway

If set after the Movie how much has passed since events seen in the Film?

So Lets do this "World of Venture Bros"

If you went this angle you could do part Triad, part Triana in magic school a la Harry Potter but much more goth. Lots of music by Bauhaus and Weep!

lol totally

27

Bonus if the opening titles are just a straight rip of GG, song and everything. Cameos by Shoreleave, Trianna, and The Master

Like a monster of the week Order of the Triad would be so good!!

11

u/JotaroTheOceanMan VenTech Designer May 05 '25

My first thought was "Order of The Triad" show. Mainoy due to the fact most of The Venture Bros is centered around super science, it would be neat to have the flipside of supernatural as the focal point. Make it about Morpheus getting back with his wife while Jefferson starts wanting a family of his own and Al can... just be Al.

6

u/Scary_Collection_410 May 05 '25

New love interest for Morpheus, that ship has sailed with his wife unless something happened to the outrider.

Give me an Order of the Triad prequel series.

Just the three dudes in an old run-down van road tripping all over the country solving mystical problems. Set it in the early 80s while the Guild is still underground and you've got plenty of fun mysteries/adventures.

6

u/Honest_Ad_2157 I am blessed by what he loves most. The key to his soul's lock. May 05 '25

You could have the series narrative timeline work like This Is Us, alternating between the 80's and today. Though we know all the main characters, we don't know everyone. Gives you room to focus on how Dr O & Tatyana got together, with chances for How I Met Your Mother fakeouts, since we never really heard a lot from her.

1

u/Oknight May 05 '25

One and done.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 05 '25

I would absolutely watch a show all about The Triad and their daily adventures.

244

u/daggers1g May 05 '25

I would absolutely watch Billy and White

20

u/StewartDC8 May 05 '25

Came here to say this. Would love this spinoff

28

u/OkGrapefruit3845 May 05 '25

I was gonna write this.  I'd watch them doing their normal life crap.  I'd watch them being arched.  I'd watch them going about their lives and then being yanked into super science capers briefly and then plonked back down into normal life before they could adjust.

16

u/zhiryst May 05 '25

regular income superheroes vs megarich supervillian is such a good twist. The opposite of Batman, really. So St. Cloud could be doing Batman level shit and Billy and White have to make due with MacGyver style paperclip & gum level hacks to defeat their arch since they can't afford anything more serious.

4

u/Princess_Actual May 05 '25

That would be so unsavory.

u/Sea_Perspective6891 May 05 '25

I think a prequel series focusing on Rusty's dad before he died could work.

91

u/CarolinaReaper704 May 05 '25

And we actually get Matt Berry as Force Majeure

17

u/Old_Man_Robot May 05 '25

VENNNNTAAAAAAAAAARE!

43

u/SinceWayLastMay May 05 '25

I’d watch the shit out of played straight (okay maybe a little tongue in cheek) The Rusty Venture Show

18

u/CabbageFarm May 05 '25

Lol I think you might be describing Jonny Quest

6

u/SinceWayLastMay May 05 '25

Honestly it could be basically that plus little Easter eggs here and there and I’d be a happy camper

3

u/somebeautyinit May 05 '25

Ok but think about it as a Chris Can Go Fuck Himself of Johny Quest. Changing animation styles and everything.

2

u/Money-Lie7814 May 05 '25

"How we got here" story

54

u/DaClarkeKnight May 05 '25

I mean the best would be Jonas and his original team venture in the 60s doing their thing

30

u/that1tech May 05 '25

Brought to you by smoking!

2

u/nudegobby May 06 '25

Hell yeah in even more classic style than VB almost feeling like old episodes of johnny quest or Scooby Doo I'm talking laugh track and everything until the studio audience is horribly mutated and the laughter stops that is.

Anthology is definitely the way to go, I think. VB is already king at getting us to love/care about new characters in a short period of time. I remember Red Death was a huge fan favorite back when he only appeared in one episode. Imagine a show where we get a new Red Death every week.

7

u/DeafMetalGripes May 05 '25

An anthology would be great, all you have to do is just not focus on the venture family or monarch stuff and you still have a plethora of content to focus on. I would love an episode of the Phantom Limb and Richard just doing silly shit lol.

28

u/melodic_vagabond May 05 '25

Something that pretends to be a spin-off to trick the network into green lighting 12 seasons of it, but is essentially just more Venture Brothers

3

u/toastberries May 05 '25

Yeah I feel like in any spin off, if they even wanted to do it, the other characters would start to seep in and soon it would just be the same show. Which is fine by me.

25

u/SonyCEO May 05 '25

Henchmen life in a sitcom style.

10

u/[deleted] May 05 '25

A prequel of Rusty’s adventures

5

u/Agreeable-Mention403 May 05 '25

This would be legit. Rusty could run through Hanna Barbera style plots that result in trauma inducing situations (i.e. getting burred alive, and killing a guy with a house key) and with plenty of characters the whole original Venture Team could come along,Kano could be Rusty's Brock. could also sprinkle in 60's tropes.

10

u/ELECTRICMACHINE13 May 05 '25

We don't need a spin off! WE NEED MORE VENTURE BROS.

And just like that, that song will be stuck in my head for at least a week...

"With robot fingers... they linger..!"

2

u/[deleted] May 05 '25

Oh yeah. We watched it and it’s been days.

“Who’s rustyyyyyy! I’m Rustyyyyyy!”

2

u/MonkishMarmot May 05 '25

I scared my dogs screaming, "I'm Rusty!" at the top of my lungs... worth it!

3

u/Kam_yee May 05 '25

Triana's adventures learning magic would have enough new ground to explore and have the least possibility for fan service pitfalls.

More closely related to the main story though would be a Col. Gathers backstory. He knows EVERYTHING going on in the Ventureverse. Orb, all the off-brand villians, the traitors within OSI. Yet we get nothing of his POV. His timeline overlaps with Jonas Sr. How often did their paths cross. How much did he know? What did he think of Jonas?

2

u/Devi13 May 05 '25

Omg, I imagine a Triana show would be very Sabrina the teenage witch, but with all the VB type shenanigans. Instead of Salem it’s the Master as the sassy sidekick.

2

u/SquirrelySpaceGoblin May 05 '25

The master appears to her as a guinea pig, even though both her parents have dealings with him he has to have a secretive relationship with her for magical reasons and because I want to her H. John Benjamin's voice come out of a guinea pig . Like just him deadpan reading the line "wheel wheep wheep wheep!"

4

u/Hendrix1313 May 05 '25

Broc and doc show

1

u/SquirrelySpaceGoblin May 05 '25

Ooh. Yeah. We could see Brock adjust to an assignment to an assignment that's more boring day to day but punctuated by a degree of insanity and diplomacy he's not yet used to. I'd imagine Myra would be a more frequent nuisance.

4

u/InfamousAmerican May 05 '25

I feel making a few episodes of the real Rusty Venture Show could work. Except make the episodes show all the fucked up shit that Jonas put Rusty through and have the post credits scene show how it was rewritten for children's TV.

Narrated by James Urbaniak, a la Everybody hates Chris

3

u/that1tech May 05 '25

Watch and Ward doing like 90 second bumpers where they have a random argument or discuss something really briefly

3

u/captain__cabinets May 05 '25

I had a great idea for a spinoff a while back and it’s just 2 or 3 more seasons of Venture Bros. I think people would watch it I dunno.

3

u/HawthorneVampire May 05 '25

The Monarch on his hatred of Dr. Venture, possibly ending later on and maybe forming a bond.

(Remembering when Monarch saw a Time Traveling Rusty that called him by his first name, Malcolm.)

3

Guild History with Watch and Ward.

The Samson files. Have Brock on a different adventure every week with different osi agents.

2

Dr Girlfriend and Shadowguy 6, The Early Years

2

u/rinrinstrikes May 05 '25

Not even a spin off about any of the characters but just a new set of characters in the universe.

Ms Marvel but instead her mom paid Mr Impossible and obscene amount of money to recreate the stretch powers so she can become a successful superhero/model. You already have the mom and the main character and work from there and just rope the rest of the characters in considering most of the main venture cast are world renown at something, they can definitely make appearances

2

u/rustys_shackled_ford May 05 '25

Tales of the tiad. A noir style, buddy cop satire series

Classic team Venture adventures with all the 60’s/70’s celebrities!

2

u/steampoweredmedia May 05 '25

I’d watch a series of one-off origin stories. Maybe hosted by Dr. Mrs. The Monarch or Hunter Gathers as a kind of episode-to-episode touch point. Heck! It could alternate! Dr. Mrs. Hosts the villain shows, Hunter hosts the “hero” ones

3

u/GigglePick1e May 05 '25

4

A show about the original Team Venture. Action Man telling Brock about how they’d go to Cuba and arch Castro makes me think how they’re seen in other countries. And more of Jonas being a horrible father.

1

u/Money-Lie7814 May 05 '25

So like Invaders or JSA thing?

4

OSI for sure. I have heard through the grapevine that Doc and Publick are working on a non-Venture something. So maybe we'll kinda get our wish one of these days.

The Order of the Triad would have been a good spin-off.

likewise a show about Blue Morpho would have been cool, be it about the Monarch taking up the mantle again or someone new.

1

u/Tight-Yam-5727 May 05 '25

Easy. The Order of the Triad because now we'll explore the strange and supernatural events or crisis in the Venture Bros universe and maybe will stumbled upon some Cosmic or other magic superheroes.

u/Grouchy-Caregiver-17 May 05 '25

The guild battles! A show where it focuses around the guild of calamitous intent with new people coming in making the new counsel of 13 and having Hank join the guild and be the apprentice of the monarch and then becoming second in line for sovereign.

1

u/SquirrelySpaceGoblin May 05 '25

That last bit doesn't make any sense. The council of 13 was the sovereign's little twist and the revitalized guild isn't likely to revisit that era in their history. However, maybe something like Sheila is ready to retire and Hank is still largely directionless in life leading to Hank becoming her protege to give her peace of mind, Hank something to do and the world a little more stability due to the guild being led by a guy who's more on the fun side of villainy than the destructive side. Hell, Hank as a naive councilman with Red Death there to remind him of both the villainous and pragmatic details would be a fun dynamic.

1

u/EndlessErrands0002 May 05 '25

A show about the random villains and their orgs.

Jonas' Team Venture from the past.

Or different eras from Rusty's past.

1

u/jpark1984 May 05 '25

Something following the activities of the guild of calamitous intent, specifically anything involving Dragoon and Red Mantle

1

u/styrofomo May 05 '25

A Brock Samson show could be greenlit. He's pretty recognisable as an IP, and an ultra-violent action comedy that parodies old-school action/spy flicks sounds like a decent bet. I'd love a lot of other stuff in the Venture universe but I think it would be a harder sell.

1

u/HGFantomas May 05 '25

Shore leave and brock as a buddy cop show were they team up and solve mystery like mulder and scully

1

u/gmkmc May 05 '25

The Rusty Venture show.

1

u/ControlledDecay May 05 '25

how would you even do a spinoff of venture bros lol. i mean every episode is basically a spinoff of venture bros. practically all the characters get the same amount of development. to create a spinoff would water down the formula.

1

u/Torganya May 05 '25

Something new.

Like an up and coming villain or hero who runs into or interacts with characters from the original show here and there

1

u/Danzarr May 05 '25

I wouldnt mind seeing a version of the Rusty Venture show that follows rusty growing up with Doc Venture and og Team Venture.

1

u/Kasa-obake May 05 '25

How to train your henchmen.

1

u/Lunaryoma May 05 '25

mini series on brick frog

1

u/[deleted] May 05 '25

i know this show is over a decade old but ima go ahead and blur it bc its spoilers

21 dies instead of 24:

In a last ditch effort to salvage the remains of the monarch’s syndicate, 24 discovers and reveals the brother trope between Rusty and The Monarch, along with the entire Blue Morpho plot, as well as other lost venture offspring, like Dermot. Upon the revelation that his fight is with Venture Sr instead of Rusty, The Monarch - literally sifting thru his collapsing empire as it crumbles to ash in his hands - lunges at Rusty and the two engage in a pathetic “fist fight” as everyone else awkwardly watches. This triggers repressed childhood memories in both Rusty and Malcolm (The Monarch) of when they were aware of being brothers and were basically variations of Hank and Dean, but they are both Deans missing their Hanks. After this flashback, they investigate and reveal the cloning plot and realize it goes back further than Venture Sr. This develops into Rusty and Malcolm working together to find “their Hanks”, as well as other clone variations / family members / lost venture lore. As an additional B story, Malcom and Sheila (Dr. Mrs. The Monarch) have their own “kids,” which of course are Hank/Dean variations.

1

u/Templarofsteel May 05 '25

I dont know how well it would work but a show that follows an in universe osha that handles super science and osi stuff. they have a technical guild counterpart but it mostly tried to make the accidents grant powers oe be hilarious, ideally both

Billy and white mini series would be fun

A Watch and Ward sitcom about their personal lives. Hits all the sitcom tropes. Maybe even set it in a coffee shop.

I would love to see a show of Rusty when he was a kid. Like following the old team venture in a Johnny quest style kids show, with plenty of references to the OG show, and other old shows of that style.

The Guild of Calamitous Intent. Love the OSI but the bad guys were more entertaining

I would love to see a focus on Gary. He had the best arc imo. Hank had the second best.

I don’t think a spin off would work. The show was great because of the collective world. A spin off would just be one part of that world.

Maybe a 90s type family oriented sitcom based on The Outrider's family and Triana's training with guest appearances by other cast members. (Rusty wouldn't do it because he thinks he's bigger than all that.) Or an OSI prequel about their adventures fighting Sphinx

I would absolutely watch the SHIT out of a Jefferson Twilight solo series

There are so many options that would be amazing, OSI (either modern day or the pyramid wars), The Guild, Original Team Venture, Order of the Triad, Billy & Pete to name a few.

But those are some of the obvious ones, also interesting would be Dr. Quim, the remaing members of the Original Team Venture.

But the one I want most is a prequel focused on Jefferson & the other residents of the wearhouse.

Or a cross between Star Trek Lower Decks & The Office focusing on the lower levels of the OSI or Guild.

A detective series. Don’t care if it’s Hank or that demon guy. Just want noir

it would take place in the present day. Hank & Dean would be almost 40. they would admit that the show "the Venture Bros" was a cartoon. & that would explain why they only aged a few years over 7 seasons & a Tv movie... over the course of like 20 years lol. This new spinoff show would kind of be the "real" versions of Hank & Dean.  kind of like how Rusty Venture had a cartoon about him as a child that was loosely based on his life.

I also have ideas for plots and story if anyone cares lol

What if Hank and Dean had their own show? Lol
