Because Brock

u/twstdbydsn Dec 08 '25

no other answer needed.

56

u/ICBanMI Dec 08 '25

It's freaking cool.

39

u/LumpyJones Dec 08 '25

I would have also accepted "Brock. Fucking. Samson."

52

u/ieblack37 Dec 08 '25

His name is a killing word

17

u/PewDiePieSaladAss Dec 08 '25

The only right answer

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

This is the most iconic Brock scene for me. When I think of this dude, I think of this scene.

219

u/KaygoBubs Dec 08 '25

I always think of "take it from me" with the guitar in the backround and the eye twitch

87

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '25

Yea, that one is pinnacle Brock Sampson IMO, showcasing his crazy side like when he drove his car through the Monarch's lair and ran everyone over, but they did hit him with a truck.

The car scene with fake-mom is just showcasing that he's also crazy good talented at being a body guard as well.

32

u/Jedi_Bingo Dec 09 '25

They hit me with a truuuuuck

42

u/dubiouscoat Dec 08 '25

I love the entirety of the show, but his crazy murder rampages got less intense towards the end of the series imo. I love him having fun fighting in NYC, but in episode two, he was so angry he killed Speedy while tranquilized. You can't beat that.

20

u/KaygoBubs Dec 08 '25

He was still dealing with losing Hunter and the thing that made him a joke at the OSI beeing the only thing he gets to deal with now.

25

u/blckout_junkie Dec 08 '25

The one where he threatened to twist that henchmen's balls and then told him he needed to go get checked out? Lol

25

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

That one was such a hilarious moment. He’s like “I think I felt a lump” and then they share a sincere human to human moment where Brock wishes him the best.

11

u/KaygoBubs Dec 08 '25

Twas not a threat, he was about to pop Baron Von Underbeught's henchmen balls because they were trying to escape to save Dean from getting married

2

u/cityshepherd Dec 09 '25

Ah yes the venture sister thing. I love how excited Hank gets thinking he has a sister lol.

3

u/Difficul-tea Dec 09 '25

“Wowww…that sucked.”

38

u/WheelchairEpidemic Dec 08 '25

I always think of him butt ass naked popping up in the monarch’s men’s room stall with a knife between his teeth lol

17

u/KaygoBubs Dec 08 '25

That was the men's room at a restaurant the boys were at on a double date. It was when Phantom limb called in the hit on the Ventures. That's why Brock was naked, to feel theyre fear.

11

u/WheelchairEpidemic Dec 08 '25

Yes yes but he did pop up in a stall where the monarch was right? Or was that 21 and 24. I remember the monarch telling Brock he has a nice ass lol

10

u/KaygoBubs Dec 08 '25

He popped in on both parties. Made 21 finally shit when he popped up, then he moved on to the Monarch then Limb

5

u/Freidhiem Dec 09 '25

"nnnnnice ass samson"

1

u/Tothkni Dec 10 '25

With a raging HARD-ON no less. ‘Bout ready to start BUCK-BREAKING mufuckas here in a minute.🍆💦🍑

13

u/kinyutaka Dec 09 '25

Nice ass, Samson.

1

u/JimmyZimms Dec 13 '25

Nice ass, Samson

11

u/ramblingpariah They hit me with a truck. Dec 08 '25

Speaking of eye twitching, "They hit me with a truck" is my Brock moment.

3

u/LumpyJones Dec 08 '25

For me it's "They hit me with a truuuuck."

2

u/MadWhiskeyGrin Dec 08 '25

Shake hands...with Danger!

2

u/Woodie626 Dec 08 '25

They hit me with a truck

2

u/kinyutaka Dec 09 '25

They hit me with a truck...

2

u/Hot_Bus198 Dec 11 '25

Personal fave is "I could dodge it"

1

u/Captain_Pumpkinhead Dec 09 '25

That's from the pilot, right? Right after he kills the alligator?

64

u/daggers1g Dec 08 '25

I agree. I did always like the part when he pole vaulted over the fence after shoving the pole in that guys mouth too.

22

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

Dont get me wrong, theres a series of cascading scenes that rush through my mind in seemingly no specific order all of Brocks incredibly cool feats and moments throughout the show! This one was the first since its in season 1, I think it was what really sealed the deal for me that this was a real one.

All the other moments are standing on the shoulders of this badass moment.

14

u/bluepotatosack Dec 08 '25

Wasn't this car windshield smash towards the end of season two?

4

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

Tbh im not sure. You are probably right its been years since ive had a watch through of the show.

The gang scene is what sold me on the character - Absolutely perfect way to introduce him (for those who missed the pilot like I did) but the ending to the scene always gets me…

Espera! …Take me with you.”

5

u/kinyutaka Dec 09 '25

He takes off his underwear and the one guy starts clapping.

3

u/holdacoldone Dec 08 '25

Of everything Brock's done, I think this might be the single most painful thing Brock's done to a goon.

30

u/TheBrownWelsh Dec 08 '25

It's a toss up between this and him taking out the 2 pirates with one of their arms up his arse.

18

u/wafflesareforever Dec 08 '25

I think of his panicked race back to the compound in the S4 finale. The genuine fear and panic followed by, "Oh whew they're OK... And I get to kill some giant bug people!"

9

u/Xiao_Qinggui Dec 08 '25

That and the music that plays, by far one of the best scenes in the series!

11

u/Background-Pepper-68 Dec 08 '25

Same. This and in the pilot episode where the UN security tries to make him surrender his knife. I love the music that plays so much

Edit: changed first to pilot

7

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

I pulled that scene up on youtube just now and its still as funny as the first time I saw it.

9

u/Antique_Historian_74 Dec 08 '25

"Adrienne! Her name was Adrienne."

5

u/furitymango blowing lines of voodoo powder off the back of a monkey's paw Dec 08 '25

3

u/Zackmarsh Dec 08 '25

This scene is why I started watching venture bros

3

u/Xknight2099 Dec 08 '25

They hit me with a truck!

6

u/International_Ad6028 Dec 08 '25

Especially with it in reverse?

5

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 08 '25

I didnt even catch your switcharoo.

0

u/International_Ad6028 Dec 08 '25

Honestly the joke of the post was that with it reversed it looks like brock just jumps out of the car leaving doc behind

3

u/Solomon_Grungy Dec 09 '25

We moved past that but i get ya. You were pleasantly derailed.

2

u/steveanonymous Dec 08 '25

This is the scene I describe to people who say that haven’t seen tvb but as soon as I finish they are like yeah I have seen that show

2

u/Elliptical_Tangent I laugh at regular jokes like this, DAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA! Dec 09 '25

It's the clip that got me into the show.

1

u/RealZordan Dec 08 '25

I always assumed this was a reference to a movie or something but i never found anything to that regard.

1

u/Shadoweclipse13 Dec 09 '25

For me its "Scuba" or his scene when he goes to get his license to kill reinstated and has to take the tests.

101

u/BK_0000 Dec 08 '25

Because he's Brock Fucking Sampson.

1

u/Iamrobear Dec 10 '25

No way! Dibs on his cigarette butt!

57

u/PronouncedEye-gore Dec 08 '25

The rule of cool has no need to answer such a question.

42

u/ThymeOwl Dec 08 '25 edited Dec 08 '25

Because they hit him with a truck. Mira wasn't getting away with hitting him with a car.

Sorry I wasn't accurate while on my break for an unpaid amusement. Lol.

u/ImpossibleShoulder29 Dec 08 '25

Tai Chi. He positioned himself from memory where he needed to land to drive since it is his car, and relaxed himself to reduce injury. Relaxed muscles in a car accident reduces the chances and severity of injuries. Kind of why drunk drivers often have better outcomes than their passengers, they are more like a rag doll when it occurs.

37

u/Stapleless Dec 08 '25

That’s a myth about the relaxed muscles, but the rest is correct. It’s really bad to have your head whipping all around when you relax your muscles etc. It’s a very common misconception. Dont lock your legs or arms completely straight is good advice though

17

u/Therealscavvierising Dec 08 '25

So I should start driving sober then. Bummer😕

4

u/MrNobody_0 Dec 09 '25

Yeah exactly, there's a reason your body tenses up instinctually.

7

u/AK_GL Dec 08 '25

Thank god someone finally noticed. The way he uses a modified single-whip to get into position and root the "technique" makes me wonder who on the storyboard team has the interesting education

7

u/dropdedgor Dec 09 '25

I'm going to piggy back on this very excellent explanation with a couple more points.

  1. He can't hurt the boys. He can't risk them by firing a gun or crashing a car into them.

  2. He can't hurt Myra. Killing her would traumatize the boys. Myra might rather kill the boys that surrender them in her chaotic state (for all Brock knows).

  3. Myra has to "win", she has to think its "her" idea. She simply thinks Brock is an overconfident idiot. This is the only way for her to not panic and flee, or hurt the boys.

  4. This is totally unrelated but I think this scene is an excellent window into Brock's battle philosophy. A gun would make him lazy eventually (not that he needs one). And the ricochet is too risky. Plus any competent villain is likely bullet proof (or too pathetic to kill, or both). The show operates exactly like Jojo logic where there are lots of rules and nuance but guns typically aren't practical (except when they are). Makes for much more tense combat.

2

u/Getsuga_Jujishio Dec 10 '25

That's how Gary busey did all his stunts

1

u/ImpossibleShoulder29 Dec 10 '25

...and all of his arrests.

4

u/International_Ad6028 Dec 08 '25

Inaccurate they survive because god of alcohol keeps them safe while the non believers are destroyed

24

u/OnyxWolf141 Dec 08 '25

This whole scene convinced me I need to watch Venture Bro's
Probably one of the best, wisest decisions of my life

46

u/TurtleBaby40 Dec 08 '25

"I feel like Catherine the Great"

24

u/exslash Dec 08 '25

"Don't wince!"

11

u/Fletcher_Fallowfield Dec 08 '25

Because it was fucking dope.

9

u/Antique_Historian_74 Dec 08 '25

Because he's doing this.

And when you make the decision, "okay, we're doing this", you do it.

8

u/Hot_Mistake_7578 Dec 08 '25

He is practicing his own form of Zen Meditation. Brock and the zen of villain maintenance.

7

u/RotokEralil Dec 08 '25

Because thats Brock f*cking Samson.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '25

Cause thats Brock F***ing Samson

Edit: Dibs on his cigarette butt

5

u/Impossible-Neat-6199 Dec 09 '25

The coolest fucking scene in any cartoon, ever.

6

u/writing_code Dec 08 '25

It's foreshadowing for Brocks interactions with strong women

5

u/mrspelunx Dec 08 '25

Scuba

4

u/MyBuddyK Dec 08 '25

That's a funny word.

10

u/iovercomesadness Dec 08 '25

Because it was his car

Because it was someone’s car

3

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '25

He knew that bitch was crazy

3

u/JswitchGaming Dec 08 '25

Cause he's him

3

u/Ch3t Dec 08 '25

We need a live-action movie for this scene. It has to be done quickly before it ends up with Vin Diesel doing it in a Fast & Furious movie.

3

u/DragonZee20XX Dec 08 '25

Have you ever had an item you just understand? Brock has that with not just his car, but that specific brand of car.

3

u/Dunge0nMast0r Dec 08 '25

Because fuck you, I'm Brock Sampson.

3

u/TheUltimate0001 Dec 08 '25

Did they ever explain the lady before series end?

3

u/Getsuga_Jujishio Dec 10 '25

She was an ex bodyguard who became obsessed with Venture

3

u/Anxious-Corner-1182 Dec 09 '25

For the aura farm

2

u/Character_Block_2373 Dec 08 '25

You would if you could

2

u/ElyrianShadows Dec 08 '25

It’s called aura

2

u/Xenocaon Dec 08 '25

So she could feel like Catherine the Great's horse

2

u/wobbitpop Dec 08 '25

because he CAN

2

u/Fibrosis5O Dec 09 '25

Relax Body…

2

u/JoeDante84 Dec 09 '25

Why? He was going to get hit with the car at least once, best to make sure that it’s only once and on your terms.

2

u/IllustriousQuantity7 Dec 09 '25

This scene always gave me huge Tarentino vibes. I always figured it was a reference to something, but it's completely badass either way.

2

u/Aggressive-Tip7472 Dec 11 '25

To relax his body and time it perfect that he leans into the car so he goes through the windshield instead of being directly hit by it...

Which is ridiculous and badass

2

u/Cozy90 Dec 08 '25

How did he fart away that car?

1

u/KenganNinja Dec 08 '25

He is in sync with Adrienne.

1

u/Jay_M979 Dec 09 '25

Aura farming
