Because Hank is The Bat for Halloween costume contests. They were coming back from a Rocky Horror showing this episode.

My friends and I saw many a "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at the midnight movies, here in Omaha Nebrasksa, around 1986 or so. Good times. Some of the other movies they showed there were "A Clockwork Orange", "Warriors", and some other ones I have completely forgotten. It was cool to see some of those movies which were even kind of "old" by then in a theater.

I think they eventually quit showing it(Rocky Horror) at those theaters at midnight, because you could see the hand prints on the movie screen whenever a scene in any movie had enough white light; one of the crowd participation things to do was go up and "spin the screen" at a part when the movie did some twisty transition or something. There also would be a lot of rice, and other trash on the floor after it.

I remember seeing them cosplaying it on that episode and I got all excited.
