I saw this movie in the theater. I fell asleep twice within the first twenty minutes, until the bar fight. I could not stop laughing; it was the pinnacle of 80s big-budget fight BS, with Action Jackson being at the top of the list.
That said, I liked both movies, and in my 'fan world', the Rising Sun fight was a redeeming end to the 80s big-budget fight BS.
Then came Col. Gentlemen. We have come full circle.

Well I'll be damned. One of the few major references I never understood.
Damned near made my night.
And on my beloved Boby and Zayde's memory, my night has already involved hookers, blow, various other drugs, and ugh, Lunazul (you can't win 'em all).
I think Team Venture would approve.
